  1. Sounds like the only way to cope with such hideous circumstances
  2. does my head in that. My ex used to do this ... probably why she's my ex-missus now!
  3. Depression is horrendous, I've had it on and off since pretty much my early teens. Probably a combination of growing up in shitty area and being the one of a handful of non-white kids at school, getting vicious verbal/physical racial abuse every days for years at school and out of school. Plus suspecting that I've got high functioning Aspergers syndrome ... makes life stressful. I've been on meds quite a few times, but what I've found beneficial is using CBT, but more recently Mindfulness. Doing quite a bit of exercise (Jiu-Jitsu twice a week, plus going for a quick walk at lunchtime) helps me keep my head together. Keep yer pecker up, keep posting on here if it's helpful, I'm sure there's lots of support on this place for experiencing this ...
  4. 12 monkeys is fucking awesome. haven't seen it in a while
  5. The Protector. Insane martial arts fun. some very nice fight sequences, fuck all cgi, camerawork is great, lots of continuous single shots, including one all the way up a hotel staircase / walk route, with the usual fights along the way. 8 broken bones / 10
  6. Always dab, don't want piss dribbles down my kecks
  7. Made In Britain (with Tim Roth)
  8. Ironman 2 ... God, lame sequel. 5/ 10
  9. Taken 2 on telly last night - 4/10. Was a pretty formulaic by-the-rules thriller. Quite a few cliché's thrown in for good measure. Reversing the situation (daughter saving dad) was interesting ... but didn't really work. Liam Neeson was quite believable when he was beating the shit out of people - honestly, he was such a badass in Taken, just like a unmoveable force. There was glimpes of this but it just seemed a dull follow-up. (and I really enjoyed Taken - always watch it when it's on telly and don't get bored of it)
  10. Oh yeah, Btw, I'd really like to go to heaton park to see a dog show. especial as my hayfever is fucking grim at the moment so it would be really enjoyable to be stood around, feeling my airways constrict like I'm having some asthma attack, my eyes feeling like their being pierced by multiple needles, and constantly fucking sneezing, so that I become Mr. grumpy. No, instead I'm staying at home playing witcher3. Welcome to the world of a woman
  11. My exercise regime is pretty good for me atm but not losing weight, seem to be bulking up quite a lot but have the residues of the spare tyre around the gut. It's definitely the ale I think. May have to knock it on the head for a couple of weeks. Trouble is I'm too much of a lush :-) Doing jiu jitsu twice a week, 1.5 hour sessions, 5ft 10 , typically 13st 7 - 10 lbs (about 88kg) want to eventually get to under 79/75 kg for sparring weight categories
