His overall point across the season stands up quite well though. We haven't defended from the front as we have done in previous seasons putting the midfield under greater pressure. I'm not discounting that he is partially going out his way to deflect criticism just like he did when Trent was under greater scrutiny. I'd also bet that only one of Thiago, Elliott, Henderson, Keita will be starting regularly next season in midfield.
