  1. No it's not what I was saying. I was replying to Rico saying "if" Russia pulled out of Ukraine all this would be over, which it would be over, he's right. I was making the point that the "if" word in his assumption could prove problematic. DJLJ seemed to think I said (if I've read his post right) that it's a question of "if" Russia pulls out of Ukraine, which is not what i meant. Which is why I think he replied (again if I have read him right) it's not a question of "if" but when Russia pull out of Ukraine. It's not imo a question of when Russia pulls out of Ukraine. I'm not sure it's that clear cut.
  2. Conor fucking Burns. A total fuckwit who was prepared to make a fool of himself by saying his boss Boris Johnson "was ambushed with cake" His only notable contribution to public life will be he gave the rest of the world a fucking good laugh at our expense.
  3. Yet another shoot the messenger post. Smeeth is a traitor,
  4. The idiot who said Johnson was "ambushed by cake" It just keeps getting better for these Tories.
  5. Er I think you need to re read the post. The "if" you quoted has nothing to do about Russia getting defeated or not.
  6. Oh goodie, thanks for the reassurance, glad to hear it. Never heard of the fella before and hope to never hear of him again. I'm sure his idiotic comments will be shot down by a Labour representative soon.
  7. Gold has plunged same as Bitcoin. I've no skin in either but my very amateur opinion is both will bounce back in time.
  8. Sorry forgot to put link showing some of the unnecessary deaths due to Thatcher.. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/02/140212082408.htm Scotland, https://www.thenational.scot/news/15433526.thatcher-is-still-killing-working-class-scots-says-shock-nhs-report/
  9. What's imo interesting here is not the infantile picture of Starmer as Thatcher by an outlet that to the best of my knowledge has never been linked on here but not one comment behind the reason said silly pic was posted. Inserted in the Skawbox (however you spell the name) post is a clip of a Labour representative saying tory Thatcherites are welcome in the Labour Party. Now excuse me, but any thoughts on the actual content behind the pic or is it just another cheap pot shot at the messenger? A post recently contained the deaths caused by austerity. The figures were shocking. I had a browse at the needless deaths caused by Thatchers allout attack on Merseyside/South Wales Valleys/Scotland.. the estimate was 2.500 a year not including under age 30 suicides which increased by 30% after she came to power. She put austerity to shame. The pic maybe silly but the subject matter not so. Thatcher's privatisation policies have proven absolutely calamitous. I find the comments by that Labour representative on Newsnight far more troubling than a pic from some left wing blog. Anyway here's a couple of random clips of Paul Heaton.
  10. Maybe. They were political animals so it's a possibility. I think they figured the left would continue to fight yesterdays battles. Johnson sealed his own fate when he fired Cummings and instead listened to the ear of the Chelsea sloane wife.
  11. You are not seriously giving this government an easy get out of jail card by blaming their disastrous management of the economy on our leaving the EU? Have the Nordic countries not in the EU experiencing our disastrous economic peril? Cummings and Cain did say a positive of Brexit was Liberals and left would look at our failings through the prism of Brexit. You're proving him right.
  12. I remember thinking at the time it was a smart little rebuff by Biden. It showed that this so called special relationship narrative pushed by both the BBC and British government is insignificant when compared to peace in Ireland. His throwaway quip put both the bbc interviewer and Boris Johnson on their arse.
  13. Rent free. Socialism is their real enemy.
  14. Damning article on the Beeb this...
  15. One of my all time favourite performances. Magical.
  16. Here we go. I've only recently posted both polls and latest bookies odds showing good news for Labour. Humourless probably missed them by having me on ignore. I offer no apologies for Wales consistently rejecting the Conservatives and voting for the Labour party and for seeing through the propaganda spewed at us from the right wing media.
  17. Excellent this from Sturgeon. So Truss has been Prime Minister for a almost a month and has not made so much as a phone call to the leaders of both Scotland and Wales. I'm starting to wonder if the extreme right would welcome the break up of the union as they'd then be almost nailed on to rule in England forever.
  18. I vaguely remember that. I think Bidens comment was a rebuff to Johnsons tory party. At the time Johnson and his goons were fucking up the peace deal. I think the commentator asked about Johnson and the special relationship, then explained he was from the BBC. I think Bidens quip was a hint to the UK government not to play politics with Ireland. I might be wrong but that's how I remember it
  19. The quickest way to to put a halt to Russia killing more innocent people is if all sides thrash out some sort of peace deal. The longer this war continues the greater the threat of a nuclear war.
  20. Alexei Sayle was right, these people are utter cunts. They're traitors. They helped the Conservatives gain an 80 seat majority which they're now using to punish the poorest people in society.
  21. Interesting list, some great performances in there. A personal shoutout to Andrew Weatherall at number 13, passed away last year, the last part of his 1993 esential mix set is fucking banging. https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2022/oct/06/the-100-greatest-bbc-music-performances-ranked
  22. Musk is right, the world desperatly needs a peace deal.
  23. As reports emerge showing Zelenskyy calling on the Nato to launch Nukes at Russia.
