  1. I’ve also had a look at doing my mountain leaders through work. Trying to build up my mountain time so I can get on it.
  2. What a lovely thread to find on here. I came into mountain walking/climbing late in life and a couple of years ago completed the 3 Peaks. Scafell Pike was a bitch but the views of the fells were something else. Big Ben was the most physically demanding thing I’ve ever done. Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon is always great fun. I did it for charity and raised a couple of grand. After this I set about on a 5 year plan to walk all the 6 traditional routes on Snowdon, climb Pen Y Fan and climb the two Irish mountains. So 2 years into the 5 year plan I’ve completed 5 of the 6 paths, having done Snowdon Ranger (mid April in the snow) this year and potentially earmarked one more climb in august to maybe do Watkin and complete the 6. Big respect to Mook and Bitch on this thread for their deeds. Killian Journet has been mentioned on here, he climbed Everest twice in one week without oxygen as well. I mean, where do you fucking start with that? Love the 14 peaks doc with Nims. I follow him and his company Elite Exped on Instagram and often stare for hours at the pics of the 8000s he does. In the doc he climbs one hungover. Fuck me. Due to a complex medical condition I can never dream of climbing or doing Everest Base camp. Not sure Ben Nevis was my limit as it was bloody hard, but maybe a 2000m one could be doable, maybe even Kilimanjaro, who knows. Id definitely like to do the CMD. Think that would be one to do after the 5 year plan along with the glyders.
  3. I’m I right in thinking Lavia helps the homegrown situation? Even tho he’s Belgian he’s been in the UK for the set amount of time? Or I’m I chatting shit? Happy to could a cunt for being wrong on this.
  4. I too are from the town and they have completely changed the club and arguably the city. It’s nothing like Man City, purely due to fact Wrexhams accounts and commercial deals are not done off the books. The tik tok sponsorship brought in £2 mill alone. The documentary is worth £300k an episode as well. Rob and Ryan are genuine blokes by all accounts and during the bus parade they stood on the ladies team bus who had also won their league. Their last game was played at the racecourse in front of 9500 which is welsh record. The stadium development is long overdue and it will allow welsh games back north now. I can see why teams like Notts (scab bastards) are upset but Wrexham have been close to the wall twice in the last 20 years and we’re fan owned for a significant time. It is a fairy tale and the scenes after Boreham Wood at home were some of the best moments I’ve experienced in life let alone football.
  5. @Gnasher When you see a picture of Sunak what is your level hatred for him on a scale of 0-10? Similarly when you see a picture of Starmer 0-10 what is your level hatred? Im genuinely curious as to the result.
  6. Thanks both. Had a look at Baladin and gave them a message. Looks decent so we’re off there on the Saturday.
  7. Heading down there in July. Thinking of heading to Camden Market on the Saturday night. Looking for recommendations for somewhere decent to eat. The Wife is a vegetarian but I’ll eat Tony’s Ma’s badly packed kebab if I have to.
  8. @Gnasher I’m a bit worried about your obsession with Starmer and Reeves. I’m worried to the point where I’m starting to think you’re a closet Tory seeing as you hate them that much.
  9. “Life is about compromise. In the joint I wanted to have sex with my wife. But I had to jack off into a tissue. I compromised”
  10. Can you point to where I was being precious about the leader of the Labour Party in the post? You can’t, because that was not the meaning of the post. 20 points ahead in the polls is a bit of slam dunk I would say.
  11. Stig, what the fuck are on about?
  12. Difficult to work out from some posters on here.
  13. Labour are on course for a massive GE victory. Local areas are going to see greater devolution. We’re going to have a publicly owned energy firm. House of Lords reform. Workers rights and unions strengthened. The NHS and Social Care are going to get the help it needs. State schools are going to have financial support courtesy of Private Schools losing charity status. Plus much much more. Rome wasnt built in a day and if all thy above is accomplished in a first parliament of a Labour Government, it would be transformative and a solid start to take back to the country for a 2nd term. If you claim to be a Labour voter/member/supporter and you can’t get behind that, then frankly you don’t deserve a Labour Government.
  14. I think it’s inevitable they will go down. They are the worse run team in PL. That rot is deep and comes to bite you in the arse, see Forrest, Leeds and Newcastle for reference. All quiet in the WhatsApp groups today, which tell its own story.
  15. Can we have a “arguing about former Labour leaders” thread and consign the Corbyn stuff in there?
  16. He was kicked out because he didn’t apologise for the actions of his office towards Jewish members.
