Fella in our team at work died a couple of weeks ago. Prostate. When he first got it and to be fair for almost a year after he was really positive - wasn't going to let it stop him etc. The markers came right down and he was right as rain. But then cancer did what it often does - gave him a glimmer of hope and then smashed it to pieces. It spread like wildfire and he went downhill fast. It was so sad to see him change - you could see over a few weeks it just ate him alive. And then he was gone, almost overnight. It really is an absolute cunt of a disease.

And the one game they did win was Everton at home, which they spawned.

Man U have won 1 of their last 5 league games. I guarantee they won't win their next league game. Why do we make them look good?

I had a look on a Villa forum before the City game and none of them were arsed. They basically saw a defeat as inevitable so why bother risking injuries to your best players. This was 5th v 3rd.

To be fair Nasa put a helicopter on Mars and we could see high definition photos, that was pretty pioneering. It was ok in the space race - virtually unlimited funds and test pilots/astronauts were expendable. That just wouldn't go now. Looks like the new space race will be fought by private companies with some national involvement. Plus, space is really fucking big and really fucking dangerous. Humans just aren't meant to be in space for a long time, or on other planets. The technology doesn't exist to make it work.

I don't think supporters wanting to see lots of goals should affect the performance of millionaire footballers.
