There's a skill to not answering the question you've been asked and using the opportunity to get something of your own across, and Liz Truss does not have that skill. In fact, I've never seen a politician do it worse than she did this morning. She had to think through every question at length (dead air), and even then her answers sounded so prepared it was like she was reading it off a teleprompter, but a teleprompter with a really small font size. As has been mentioned several times, this has been a win for local journalism.

I think it's got to the point now where shit like this will backfire on them. They've pissed off too many people, too many previous Tory voters are being dragged into the financial mire. It might have worked two years ago - but when people are paying a quid for a pint of milk, when council tax is at an all time high, when energy prices are doubling and mortgage payments are at risk of spiralling, nobody wants to listen to some fat rich twat blaming anyone else. I'd quite like the Telegraph to go out of business, though.

I take my two kids to their swimming lessons at the JD gym in Hunts Cross. Bearing in mind people are going the gym for a workout, they all try to park as short a walking distance as possible. They even park on the pavement outside the door! There's about 500 parking spaces!!!

You Won't Be Alone (2022) Another foreign horror film with rave reviews. Couple of witches on the prowl in 19th century Macedonia. Subtitles. Bored. Bored bored bored. 3/10.

The Innocents (2021) Little kids on a housing estate develop super powers. One kid is a twat. Subtitles. Disappointed. Has rave reviews, but I was a bit bored and the powers weren't that exciting. Extra point for the girl wearing a Crown Paints top. 6/10
