I did find the quote about Brendan winning titles with us had he arrived sooner a bit silly. Brendan in his current state would have won the square root of fuck all back in 2005, let alone a Champions League. I still feel Stevie is capable of playing top class football. He's still an excellent passer, has great vision and his technique will never falter. He just needs to be used properly but whether anyone can manage to get the best out of him now that his legs and stamina are not what they were, I don't know. He could still play at the highest level in Europe, no doubt about it. Guess he wants to wind down his career in an easy league for easy money.

The best player I have seen at Liverpool. He's been like a superhero for the team, it's sad he's not retiring at Liverpool. At his peak there was nobody better in the world and we won't see a player like that playing for us for a long, long time. A scouser, a boyhood Red that can do it all as a footballer. What a treasure he's been for us, will be strange to not see him in the red shirt next season.

We played better against Swansea than we had done against most teams this season. Still looked frail at the back but our attacking, counter-attacking, pressing etc. was the best it's been for a while. And Brendan decided to muck things up by changing the team around and we were then served up the usual shit we've been seeing this season. To blow a 2 goal lead at home to the worst team in the league is unforgivable.

Fucking atrocious. Blew a lucky 2 goal lead and held on for a draw at home to Leicester. Awful performance.

It's comeback day everywhere today in the Premiership. Expect the Arse and BS to get level too.

Who's Graham Souness? If it's Graeme Souness the poll option is referring to, that's a bit harsh IMO. If we're having ex-managers up there then Hodgson would be way above Souness. I know Souness fucked up with the S*n interview but he's apologised for that on plenty of occasions and his remorse certainly appears genuine.

Has Ashley really been that thrifty when it comes to transfers? Newcastle have bought out most of Ligue 1 in recent years so I think he's been a bit more generous than some owners.

That's the most enjoyable performance from us this season. Not that there have been many to choose from... We looked sharp, looked to attack at every opportunity and hit them constantly on the counter attack with pace and purpose. Coutinho and Lallana were brilliant. Can looked promising and Hendo showed signs of getting back to last season's form. If we add Strurridge to that team we won't have problems scoring goals. Keeping them out on the other hand, that's going to be an ongoing issue.
