All looking good. What do we think about the Anfield Road end? One stand I quite like is the caterpillar at Welfield Road rugby ground. Obviously ARE would be narrower but how about we just build another 7000 seats behind the existing stand and get rid of the second tier. Maybe a slightly steeper gradient too?

I bet Kevin would like to marry Angelina Jolie too. I'm not actually convinced Roy will stay on that long. Look what happened to Keegan after Euro 2000. A couple of bad qualifiers and who knows? Who knows, if Hull have a good start to the season - and they've made some interesting signings - perhaps the Steve Bruce bandwagon will begin. Longer term, Garry Monk might be one to follow. Swansea have a record of making shrewd managerial appointments and I can imagine the 'new Rodgers' title taking hold.

Roy proves again that he is the master of Scandanavian football with a solid win and clean sheet vs Norway. The lack of shots on target tells you that this is a ruthlessly efficient unit that Roy is drilling.

The United shirt deal is in some respects quite promising for Liverpool. it's an area where we have comparative advantage over most of our rivals. If these things are likely to be much more lucrative we should be one of the major beneficiaries. Still £75m a season? Thats far more than we make in gate receipts.

Ideally I think players should have at least 4 weeks off. I wouldn't be asking the England lads to come back till next week. When do we leave for America? Who was involved beyond the group stage? Mignolet? Any others? I'd give him maybe an extra week. Oh plus Sakho.

Definitely consider keeping Borini if we're signing lots of players and a fair few leaving. I'm a bit wary of lots of changes at once.

People say Roy is useless but it's not true. You don't get to where he has without a certain amount of talent. In Roy's case it's the ability to play down expectations. He's a true master at this. Make sure no-one expects too much from your team then deliver shite and it's okay because people didn't expect much anyway. He should get a job with the Tory party.

If Suarez does go then I really think we need at least one big signing. If not Sanchez, then who? Shaqiri and Markovic might be shrewd signings but we'd want at least one statement signing. Are we prepared to pay the wages? Not sure about Lovren but he actually looks quite good on youtube (yeah, I know). At least Rodgers seems to be over his Ashley Williams obsession.

Are we linked to any defenders apart from Lovren? No critic of his but is he enough of an upgrade on what we already have?

Disappointing if Sanchez prefers Arsenal to us. However I think people get much too animated about players going to rival clubs. If Arsenal don't spend big on Sanchez they'll only get someone else. He'll hardly be going cheap after the world cup either.

We shouldn't underestimate the Arse or their perennial manager Arsene, who do have a knack of finishing in the top 4. However they're not a team who scream momentum at you. They're just plodding along (on the pitch that is, it's all canapes and chateau lafite for the shareholders). That's where we have an advantage. Also I think I'm right in saying that Sanchez isn't French, doesn't speak French and doesn't act French (he may kiss that way I guess). Unlikely to be Arsene's first priority.

Looking on youtube he seems quite similar to Sterling. Bit stronger and better shooting than Raheem has right now. If he can play Centre forward that would make a lot of sense. We obviously need someone ther than Suarez/Sturridge and maybe Aspas isn't trusted. I do think we should take a bit of pressure off Raheem. I'm wary of him playing so many games at his early stage of development.

Watching Sturridge and Suarez it's a reminder of some of the great strike duos Liverpool have had. I don't want to say greatest because how could you decide but what about favourite? Some considerations: Hunt and St John Keegan and Tosack Dalglish and Rush Barnes and Rush Beardsley and Rush Rush and Fowler Fowler and Collymore Fowler and Owen Owen and Heskey Torres and Gerrard Suarez and Sturridge

Do big guys like Martin tend to take longer to get back to full fitness? I'm sure I've read that before.

On the number of centre backs we have - let us remember that Wisdom may be going on loan, Coates is out for ages and I think Skrtel could be gone in January. Also Rogers might consider Kelly primarily RB. So we have Agger, Sakho, Toure and Ilori. Someone like Wisdom might take Toure's place next season depending on how he does.

We have spent money this window but we should consider the money we rake in when Reina, Coates, Ince and Assaidi are sold. Infact what about Skrtel now we seem over-stocked with centre backs? We could be looking at up to £30m there. Not sure about letting Borini go on loan though. Sturridge had had injuries, Suarez can be a liability and Aspas hasn't really settled yet. Maybe it's the wage price of bringing in Moses.

Do Arsenal really need a player like Ozil? Not saying he isn't very good, but they've got Carzola and wiltshire. I'd have thought their problems lie elsewhere.

I understand the concerns fans have about signings but some seem to have forgotten that we spent £20m in January. I was always doubtful that we would net spend this window. What concerns me is that we might not net spend at the same time as losing Reina and Assaidi on loans. Surely we could take into account the transfer fees we'll likely get next year? Why is everyone going crazy about Shay Given possibly signing? How many clubs have a top class back up? He's probably still better than Jones, who may want to leave for all we know? I really like what I've seen of Ilori, which I'll admit isn't much. The one rumour that bothers me is Lescott. Can't see why he'd be better than Skrtel. And what about wages?
