  1. Oh dear god yes I hope this is true and happens. Been thinking alot recently how much more this team has got to go, especially with the way were refreshing it. Would he really want to walk away from all that he has built
  2. We seem to rotate Matip/konate Henderson/keita and Diaz/Jota at the moment, feels right. That's the team you'd want out there tonight
  3. Both in mid Jan. During the Afcon. Crucial second goals in both, so on that basis my point stands
  4. I agree a move makes best sense for both parties now, he's nowhere near the side and barely in the squad, but he's a good player for someone. Since his most recent injuries he's almost always fit, just cant get near the team. He has contributed this season too, pretty sure he chipped in with a couple of important goals during the Afcon. I wish him well and think he's a good 20-25 m pound player for somebody
  5. Maybe Konate in but I can't see us rotating alot for a cl semi final first leg
  6. Chelsea losing all their defenders this summer. While I love him and would never normally like the idea of selling to a rival, a swap deal with Connor Gallagher would be ok I reckon
  7. Surely if his agent booted off when Klopp misspoke on the contract negotiations (and apologised for) Salah shouldn't he doing this interview now. Especially now! Seems I'll timed and misjudged at best, and I'd be surprised if the club isn't fucking fuming. Sign the contract or don't. Don't keep talking about it or trying to win some PR war. You can't have your cake and eat it
  8. Neville has lost the plot. I do actually think this Utd team are trying, they're just not very good and were much much better. And they're clearly not meant to be pressing
  9. Great article but I do slightly disagree with the point on Naby. I love Hendo and until about now he'd have been nailed on as one of the three, but I think Naby is now in the conversation as he is giving us something Hendo isn't. He's half a yard sharper to the ball which is crucial with our press, he's using it slightly better and more positively, and he's been superb with it in tight spaces, which makes a crucial difference against city's press.
  10. Interesting we were willing to offer the sabbatical even then. Think there may come a point where that might appeal. Hopefully down the line from 2024 though
  11. That is an absolute madness by Burnley. Dyche would have had them straight back up. Into the abyss for them now
  12. Well not within a year obviously, or 2. But that should be an achievable long term objective which would demonstrate his capabilities. There's no way Steven Gerrard should be considered for the job of replacing Jürgen Klopp if the unthinkable happened and he left in 2024. He'd have to prove he has elite manager capabilities over a number of years
  13. I think Jurgen Klopp would get villa in the top 4 with the budget they have, at the very least. Given how inept the 'big' clubs outside of the top three have been, I don't think that at least challenging for the top 4 would be an unreasonable minimum barometer of success and aptitude to demonstrate before Steven Gerrard could even be considered for the job of managing us.
  14. The Villa job was a good one to take. Midtable of team with money to spend and plenty of room for improvement. The goal would be to do what Leicester, Wolves, even West Ham this season have done at a minimum. With sound tactics and good signings should be possible. The managers at those clubs were Rodgers, Nuno Santos and Moyes...
  15. Another thing with the 'lets just get a quick midfielder' in is that there aren't many who are quick but also technically outstanding enough to be able to withstand the man city midfield press, and also the sheer level of tactical knowledge and time you need to play the role in Klopps midfield. Fabinho and Tiago are world class players and Jordan Henderson is a very good one. Hard to improve on that
  16. There's alot of negative talk about our players. Look at it another way, who in the man city team stood out as having a really good game yesterday and outplaying our players? For me it's only KDB, who is a world class player on his game. I accept we could add maybe a Bellingham and improve, but fuck me it's hard to improve this team
  17. The same man who gave ozil a 400k a week contract and wants a world cup every 2 years.
