  1. Quite frankly that's a load of bollocks. Perfectly good and innocent priests have been lumped in with the bad 'uns in the same way as you describe for Muslims. And why wouldn't there be public calls for Muslims to condemn atrocities committed by their fellow Muslims? The difference in some cases is the ambiguity. 99% of Catholics would and have condemned child abuse in the Catholic church unreservedly. I'm not sure the numbers would be so high in the Muslim world. To top it off, these people aren't even from the countries where they are spouting their rhetoric. I don't want to get into a religious debate. I'm not a practising Catholic (other than the occasional trip to Mass) so I have no bias in what I say.
  2. I don't know how you are forming those views but you are wrong to say that Catholic church abuses and crimes haven't provoked an outrage (or whatever exactly it is you are trying to say). In Ireland, mass attendance has fallen off a cliff and the church have lost all authority, particularly among rural, conservative areas where they once would have held a lot of sway. I don't know where you are from or live but if it's England then I'm wondering how you would claim to have a view on the reactions of people to Cathlic church scandals?
  3. I think anti-semitism is primarily driven by Israel's barbarous policy towards the Palestinians. I think your average Jew in Europe just wants to get on with his life, practice his or her faith etc. On the flipside, anti-Islam, I would imagine, is being driven by the seemingly ever increasing amount of fanatic Muslims who have no problem living off our liberal states yet secretly plotting to kill the police forces etc whose job it is to protect them and their families. It would make sense to me that anti-Islam is higher for that reason, not that I condone tarring all of one faith with the same brush. The reality is, however, that should I see a Jew with a backpack on the underground then I wouldn't feel remotely threatened. If I saw a Muslim with one, I wouldn't necessarily feel threatened but bad thoughts could cross my mind.
  4. FA Cup. A tangible reward for a season's work. Not to mention a prestigious trophy in its own right.
  5. I texted a blue nose mate today calling them useless cunts etc for not taking points off Arsenal. After calling us very lucky to get the win today, he pretty much said he was delighted we didn't make any ground on Arsenal (ie that Everton lost). If he was serious that has to be a new low for "small timeness".
  6. City fans are giving me a migraine. Whiney small time knobs.
  7. I wouldn't overly fear City. If it wasn't for Thursday's exertions I'd really fancy us. As it is I would probably take a draw.
  8. Rodgers is a cunt. Everyone is a cunt. Sign the fucking contract Sterling. Martin Skrtel loves getting his head stapled back together.
  9. Today, Tim Sherwood's team played John Carver's one. Best league in the world.
  10. Fuck the obsession with fourth and how our chances of finishing there have now improved. I'd rather we were still in Europe. A trophy > fourth, all day long.
  11. What makes people take a shit in under two minutes? I like to drag it out (literally) and make it a 20 minute affair, play a few games on my phone, text the missus, take selfies of my hairline to see how it's holding up etc. I was taking a piss the other day and a fella was in and out and shitted and I still wasn't finished pissing. Makes no sense.
  12. Another Rodgers thread. And poor Tom in yet another e-fight. Delete immediately if not sooner.
  13. The Premiership really has got a hold on football fans, must be down to the marketing. I was down in the local last night and my two mates fucked off a bit early as they were smashed. I went over to talk to the barman and finish my pint and there were two lads propped up at the bar talking about how Man City and Arsenal were both definitely going to qualify from their ties and that City could go on and win it. This despite all the evidence pointing to the Premiership as overhyped and overrated. One of them was a Liverpool fan as well.
  14. Heard Martinez slobbering over himself, talking them up as the only English team left etc etc. He's an irritating twat.
  15. I had 10 pints of Guinness last night, for no good reason. There is a good chance I will do ZERO work today.
  16. You could say that. You could also say I'm hungover and being a smart cunt.
  17. Moaning drama queens on here. We lost a game of football. Deal with it. Our second loss in 19, or the like. Pussies. Onwards and upwards for Sunday lunch time.
