  1. A few things that I'll like to share Firstly KP, well I'm for one is glad he's out injured. He's been living off his reputation as one of the best batsman for a few years now and his recent record is not good enough to be in the England starting 11. I know the IPl isn't long after the WC and if he somehow plays in that, just shows where his main priorities are, If he does play, I have no problem with him providing for his family but he shouldn't be playing for England again if that's the case (that if that happens) Secondly Bambi being injured now for me this is a massive blow for our chances. I know he's not looked great so far but still picked up 4 against SA but he's been our most consistent ODI bowler in the past 18 months and will be missed. The match on Friday against Bangladesh. Ok as Bangladesh are my second team I always like to see them do well and after that sh*t performance against WI I'm fully expecting them to perform much better. Tamim is the key for England to get out early because if he gets going, he can score at faster than a run a ball. Ashrafool better get dropped for Mahmudullah because it's just easy to see that Mahmudullah is a better batsman, bowler and fielder. It's madness he got dropped! I look at that Ban batting line up and I do fancy our chances but you only need one of Tamim, Mushfiqur or Shakib Al Hasan to have a good day and we could be chasing 250 and that would be a competitive score conceding their spin attack. Razzak is a clever bowler, We all know what Shakib can do and Naeem Islam does bowl decent enough off spin to cause us problems.
  2. Highlights on BBCSports BBC Sport - Football - Celtic 1-0 Rangers
  3. It's easy to say keep him but if he's not going to be a first team starter than he's got to go. We just simply can't afford someone on 90k a week to sit on our bench now that we've almost certain going to miss out on the Champions League for a second season
  4. Capello must have saw the goal today and thought he's a fucking player yet hasn't picked the most consistent RB this season in Kelly. Fuck it it's only England but it's a shame on Kelly Doesn't Kelly struggle to get into the under 21's starting 11 due to Jones and Smalling, unbelievable
  5. One of the main issues is that no matter what the owners do on the transfer it's going to divide the fans yet again which just shouldn't be happening. One thing that we all agree on and that's we want the best of Liverpool football club and if that means selling Torres then fuck it, we'll move on.
  6. No one and that means no one is bigger then the club. Once he handed that transfer request in, for me he's not a Liverpool player and should never wear the shirt again. If he doesn't go in the next few days and he's forced to say I won't celebrate any of his goals or anything he does for this club and I really hope he doesn't play again. Even if he does a Rooney/Tevez and changes his mind, I'll still want him out. I can not support a player that doesn't want to be here. You could've been a legend here Torres but you've decided to go down with names such as Owen. Fuck off out of my club
  7. Fucking hell, not the greatest performance but I'll take the 3 points and the £32 that comes with it
  8. If that's the case then fair enough. I don't think we need strengthening in this transfer window. We can't finish in the top 4 and the squad we've got is capable of finishing in the top 7 so no unless we get value for money for players then we shouldn't sign anyone Anyway we don't even know who the manager is going to be in the summer and the players we sign might not be for him. Get the manager issue sorted out first and then we can look at signing new players in the summer
  9. I think it's too early to judge him. By the looks of things he needs to play in the team that keep the ball and play a attacking style of football. You saw by some of his passes against Wolves he's got ability. When Roy was in charge he played a few games on the RW where you just don't play him and we pretty much bypassed the midfield under Roy so lets start judging him under Kenny who's proven at getting the best out of youngsters
  10. Ref has costed 3 points to Blackpool. Should've been 3-0 to Blackpool with that clear penalty in the 2nd half. No fucking surprise, fucking cunts
  11. Now we all know the rule that you can not leave the pitch and celebrate with the crowd yet it still doesn't stop players doing this. It maybe a joke of a rule to some but there is health and safety concerns about it but surely it's just passion shown by the player. Piquionne scored what everyone thought would be the winner and then is sent off Does the law need changing?
  12. BBC 5 Live Senior Football Reporter Ian Dennis on Twitter: "Told Stephen Warnock will tie up return to Liverpool from Villa in next few days. Loan with view to permanent deal."
  13. Strauss had a shocker today. When we had Aus 33-4 we should've gone for the throat and had more of an attacking field. If we had got White or Marsh then, then we would've been in a brilliant position. Good partnership by White and Marsh but once we got White and we got Aus 142-8 the game should've been over with yet Strauss went to the spinner and when Aus should've been bowled out for 170 max they got to a respectable 230 all out. Bollinger was doing cut shots like he was Lara for goodness sake. Marsh played a great innings and fair play to him, I've only seen him bat a few times and it's safe to say that was the best I've seen of him. Tremlett bowled really well and the same with Shahzad and Bresnan but I'm unsure about Yardy and Tredwell for the upcoming WC. Yardy darts aren't going to work against top teams like IND and SL who are good against spin and for me Tredwell is just an average county cricket bowler. Now after the disappointing last hour of the Aus innings we didn't start well with Prior getting a duck and us being 36-3 at one stage. Bell and Trott batted well to get us back in the game but a poor shot from Trott which gave his wicket away was the downfall for the innings. Too many batsman got in and got out. Aus bowled well but we should've chased down that total on a decent pitch. Prior is a fantastic Test match batsman but I'm unsure about him as an opener in the ODI squad. Bell who's a quality batsman shouldn't be batting as low as 5 and for me should be batting at in the top 3 and probably as an opener. The same can be said about Trott, I just don't see him as a ODI batsman, surely Ravi wouldn't been a better option to have in the line up Why is Wright is the squad? I like him as a player but what does he offer? When he plays he doesn't bowl often and he's not good enough for his batting alone. With the WC being in the subcontinent Ravi should've been included. His middle pacers would be suited for the pitches in the subcontinent and he's so much better against spin than Wright. A lot of negatives when we really should've been looking at the positives a few hours ago
  14. He's been at two clubs, hardly an journeyman is he? It all depends how much we're going to pay for him. He's an improvement on Cole, Jova, Babel and Maxi for the LW position and to be fiar I think he's improved since being at Villa. Have we really had more width since Riera left? It'll be nice to play with wingers again instead of make shift forwards doing a job
  15. No the league table shows the media how shit we are. Carra and Thompson said nothing wrong and nothing what has been said on here
  16. Robinson looks a steady player but too early to throw him into the first team at the moment
  17. A Test series win in which we fully deserved to win 3-1. I'm going to enjoy beating them after spending countless hours wide awake at stupid o clock since watching cricket. The next step is to target India and SA for that number one Test spot. We drew in SA recently and lost at home to India not long back and we've got them at home this summer. We need to keep progressing if we want to be the number 1 team. To take from this Test series is that our strength in depth is impressive and that's down to county cricket so if that keeps improving so will the Test team
  18. I didn't see the other thread. Feel free to remove this thread
