  1. Strange that he didn't start the Carling cup games. He's a perfectly good goalie and I'm sure he would have done a good job in both games.
  2. So you don't suggest I travel to White Hart Lane half an hour before kick off looking for a ticket?
  3. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it. I will be in London tomorrow and I would like to go and watch the Spurs match, preferably from the away section. 1. Do you think there will be away tickets available before the match? If so, where exactly can they be obtained? 2. How much do they normally cost prior to the match? 3. Can I trust the changing hands of tickets outside the ground, or would there be many fake tickets going around? Thank you very much!
  4. It's been going on for ages and I cannot understand how people do not realise this. How many penalties have been given against Man Utd at Old Trafford in the past ten years? Only a handful, and the ones that have been given were mostly meaningless. And here we are, four games into the season, already with at least 5 decisions gone against us. And whoever tells me that the Frimpong dismissal went in favour of us clearly did not watch the Arsenal match. He should've been sent off within the first 20 minutes of the game. And our first goal was NOT offside. They are either extremely inept (and by some massive coincidence are biased against us) or corrupt. It's either one or the other.
  5. With the form he's in, Lucas is undroppable at the moment. He gives us solidity and security in front of the back four and I think he's developed into a mix between an Alonso and Mascherano type of player. He keeps the team ticking. What an incredible improvement over a couple of years ago. Yet another assured performance and still only 24!
  6. I agree, although I highly doubt whether you'll find a better available centre-back than Cahill at the moment.
  7. Had a brilliant opening day against QPR. I personally think he would be our most impressive signing so far.
  8. I remember USA 1994 but the one I remember the most was France 1998 and Michael Owen's wondergoal. He was my boyhood idol :(
  9. I'm guessing that is the reason for all the CM signings then. Perhaps last season was the last we have seen of Steven Gerrard as the majestic force that he's been for 10 years :(
  10. You underestimate Luis Suarez's pace. I honestly think he's our quickest player, followed by Downing and Johnson.
  11. No it is not. By some distance. We need a top quality left back to begin to compete for the title.
  12. One of the worst players to have ever wore the Red shirt.
  13. I'm sorry but I love it. The blue isn't Everton blue, and it's only a few stripes anyway. I'll be buying it.
  14. Why is Gerrard so bloody hyper today? Never seen him so excited in my life lol. Relax lad, it's only Sparta Prague.
  15. Two world-class wingers. One back-up striker to Suarez and Carroll. One defensive midfielder when Poulsen fucks off. One world-class left-back. And that is assuming no one leaves.
  16. I was one of those who thought he should just leave at the end of last season. But boy has he won me over. Great attitude, great worker, and just keeps us ticking. We're a better team now with him. So there you have it, I've admitted :)
  17. Great analysis. Disagree about Dirk though, I think he had a massive game. My Man of the Match.
  18. Owen's backstabbing was more gradual. Torres' was all done in a couple of days, which IMO makes it worse.
  19. People can say what they want but the thought of Gerrard supplying balls to Carroll who drops off to Suarez is extremely appealing to me. And the good news is that we no longer depend on one single striker to supply the goals and get fucked whenever he's injured. This is better than most people think. So what if it's 30 million. He's English, he's 22, he's a perfect foil for Suarez. Kind of like a younger, stronger, more complete version of Crouch. I'm loving this.
  20. Seriously though, I hope we get to see money spent in the summer.
  21. I don't think you fully understand the significance of these signings. We're going to have a strikeforce of SUAREZ and CARROLL, with Gerrard supplying balls from midfield. How could anyone possibly be gutted at that? Forget the money, they're not coming out of my pocket. So we should really be grateful we've got owners who want to put us back on the map. I haven't felt so elated in a transfer window in years. And it's all happened so quickly.
  22. It's impossible not to notice the signs of corruption whenever Man UTd play. I've stopped watching their games for that simple reason, and I've been proven right yet again in this game. Both the penalty decision and the red card never should have been given.
  23. Totally agree. I can't believe Torres is being slaughtered when for two seasons he has been far and away our best player. The only man to blame is face-wubbing Woy.
