The game has changed in Reading's favour since the substution. They're getting more of the ball and more chances. I'm not a fan of playing 4 of Coutinho, Downing, Sturridge & Suarez. Just doesn't seem to work for us. And the crap attitude of the players doesn't help.

It is down to the fitness of players who play in the French league, I think. Gatland doesn't think they are in good enough shape to play international rugby when they come back from France to international duty. Also their availability as you say is a factor as they aren't released by their clubs for certain training camps & games. Gatland has said he ideally wants everyone to be on the same plane to Australia. And the French playoff final clashes with the Lions first tour game. Phillips should be ok because Bayonne won't be involved but Wilkinson & Co probably will be.

That just makes it even worse IMO, because we should've closed the gap on them and Spurs/Everton. If things stay the same in the Chelsea game that is.

6 wins out of 7 seems rather fanciful, and everytime I read something like this it makes me think back to all the times we've looked at our fixtures and predicted an unrealistic amount of points from them and ended up disappointed when we don't hit the target. I think we will pass 60 points though. Which would be a considerable improvement on last season (8+ points better off). Improve again next season by around the same margin and we'd be in the top 4 or very close to it. -
He has improved, slightly, on last seasons league performance so far. If he can finish above Everton in 6th place, or higher, then it'll will go down as a good season (taking into account our position last season, the squad he inherited and the stiker debacle in the summer) and it will be a much better season than the last one.

Agger was superb today I thought. Won almost everything in the air, which is just what a centre back has to do against physical teams like Villa. Coutinho, Suarez and Henderson were great as well and Gerrard made a few vital contributions. Carragher wasn't his usual self but that's understandable as Benteke is a handful for any centre back. Johnson's form has not been great recently but he's quality and he'll be back to his best before long, maybe a switch to left back for a couple of games would help him get his form back.

Disgusting by Ferdinand, Ferguson and Co. No class at all. Getting in the ref's face and trying to intimidate him. No wonder they get so much decisions in their favour. A big fine from UEFA should sort them out.

Would be really disappointed if we brought in Williams. He's got Scott Dann written all over him. Skrtel is better than him.

Credit where credit is due. Reina has really hit form recently. I think Rodgers is getting him back to his best.

We finished 2nd that season despite the owners, not because of them. Up until 2008 you could see the clear progress that was being made with the squad when we had a very strong team that also had a bit of strength in reserve. Then the sell to buy policy kicked in and we lost a lot of depth in key positions. We did well to finish 2nd but we were lucky that most of our key players avoided injuries and the average players in the squad played above themselves for most of the season.

Good 5-0 win but useless result really, there is nothing to play for in the league apart from pride. Our players yet again perform when there is no pressure on them. If we string a couple of wins together and get back within 6 points (or something similar) off the top 4 we'll just get another Aston Villa/West Brom performance by the players.

Pathetic from our players. Two good performances away against Arsenal and Man City and they think they've earned the right to stroll about the pitch half arsed against West Brom. Same thing happened with Dalglish last season. A couple of good cup performances and the players didn't even bother trying in most of the other games towards the end of the season. We need one massive clear out to get out people who simply aren't fit to play for Liverpool, but I'm not sure whether there's a point of doing that as we had one in 2011 and we just replaced old, expensive rubbish with newer, even more expensive rubbish.

Our starting line up was too negative and we are paying the price for that now. On another note our full backs have been terrible today and we really do need someone to compete with Enrique for that full back role as he only seems to play well when he has something to prove.

He is a great player but I think people are turned off when they hear stuff like this and Jamie Redknapp claiming he's up there with Messi and Ronaldo after the West Brom game.

Its only 1 game, like Agger got against West Brom. Violent conduct is a 3 match ban while a professional foul is just a 1 match ban, so its nothing really if it means getting your team an extra point. EDIT: Guy above me beat me to it, never mind!

Got to say I'm not convinced that Wisdom is as good as most make out. Not writing him off or anything but I'm not sure he's a certainty to make it here as a player as most people are saying. He's looked OK at right back, nothing more. He might make a good centre back in future but from what I've seen so far I don't see him having a future at right back, he just doesn't have the right technical or physical attributes to play there in my opinion. We've seen this hype surrounding a load of young players who have come into the team and had a run of good games before losing confidence and going backwards as players (Insua, Flanagan, Spearing etc).

To be fair I think everyone has been brilliant today for us and done a good job apart from Reina, who has cocked up the only thing he has been asked to do all game.

Pathetic. Can we just sell Reina and get a decent keeper in? Because Reina is absolutely useless and has probably just cost us and the players after a magnificent performance against the current champions. 75 mins of effort down the pan just because of this useless clown in goal.

Embarassing. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we got beat by Scotland and Italy (playing both away) in this years six nations. This all comes from letting Gatland go away with the Lions for a year instead of telling him its either Wales or the Lions, you can't do both.

About 10 seconds to go and instead of running forward and trying to create something Enrique turns back and stands on the ball until the full time whistle goes. Our game management/decision making or whatever you want to call it is atrocious.

Pathetic and gutless. Half hearted challenge by Suarez on the wing but not his fault, what's he doing there anyway? He has tried his best defensively but he's just not a defender and was always going to leave Johnson exposed 1 v 2 at times.
