    Apologies if there is already a match thread, i managed to miss it if there is. I fancy us to win this, sure most of our lads will be knackered after today but i think we will have a positive feeling at the club now after our last 2 performances made us forget about how bad swansea was. also with them playing newcastle next weekend and having a massive european night the week after i think it will be a very weakened side from both. Id go with Reina kelly Carra © Coates Robinson Maxi Lucas Spearing Bellamy Kuyt Carroll 2 1 to us with bellamy and carroll scoring, and one having to be dropped at fulham. roll on wembley

    I agree with xerxes we are in no position to turn our noses up at the league cup. I agree with what kenny says also and how ridiculous ot is that we were told its impossible to change the date of either this or the city league game. I hope kenny plays a strong team like he has done all season but fear he is just being honest with the fans regarding tickets. with the chavs as good as thru in europe i fear it will be their first team versus our fringe players/kids, and after this match we'll be 1 f a cup loss from another trophyless season

    could well happen, i see their next 4 are everton both mancs and chelsea, it will be interesting to see how they do in those games. if they do well they might be in with a genuine shout, still dont think they will make it though

    when the media decide to pretend our manager has spent far far more on players than he actually has, you know its because they're scared of that man making us great again. it happened with rafa, its happening with kenny now.

    of course he is the right manager. i genuinely believe that a different manager having got the exact results kenny did would be afforded the patience by the people who are starting to have reservations. i think because of his track record and being the legend he is they took it for granted we would instantly challenge for the league after playing brilliabtly at times in the second half of last season. now it looks like that mightn't happen they are throwing their toys out of the pram which for me is fucking bizarre

    can i just say i couldnt give a toss about money spent. it took city years to get in to the champions league after spending ridiculous money. no way anyone should be unsure if we have the right manager. and its not because of who he is either, if villas Boas, jurgen klopp, someone like that a complete stranger got the job last january and did exactly what kenny has we'd be accepting them as a good manager and affording them time. oh and WE ARE 5 FUCKING POINTS OFF SECOND PLACE

    I miss the european nights already. I was only thinking last night how next season (if and when we qualify for the champions league) we wont be in pot 1. we could get barca aor real in our group. Without consciously thinking it thru i think i always thought once we got back in the group stages would be good because we'd been away for a while, but we'd stroll through it. may well not be the case because instead of being a team who won it and got to the final in the past 5 years we will have (again assuming we qualify for it next season) 2007/08 Champions league semi finalists 2008/09 Champions League quarter finalists 2009/10 Knocked out in c l group stage/ Europa league Semi Finalists 2010/11 Europa league last 16 2011/12 not in european competition. mind you now that i typed all that i know someone is going to correct me that rankings are no longer based on your record in europe in the last 5 years so please proceed
