  1. Yep they are back to their normal position, 6th, he's right, last year's improvement was the outlier.
  2. I thought they weren't prepared to give them another payment which is why Everton are going to be in real trouble? Their points deduction might be the least of their problems. The suspicion is 777 want them to be relegated and the pending agreement with Everton has a huge penalty attached so they'd pick up Everton along with a brand new stadium for bugger all. They'll then lease the stadium back to the club.
  3. They're much worse, the hubris is off the scale. Their new minority tax dodging owner has spent the week attempting to justify public money funding their new stadium and knocking us off our perch.
  4. How's that corner turning going that all the media have been banging on about?
  5. You can put those green and gold scarves away for another week lad.
  6. Just don't say anything about the £28 billion, what does it matter? Nobody believes the promises anymore after 14 years of Tory rule. What happened to those 40 new hospitals we were promised? Where is levelling up?
  7. Does that include driving up everyone's mortgage payments and crashing the pension's sector?
  8. We have to ask if Pochettino's historically successful non-winning stint at Spurs was just an outlier?
  9. I thought you meant a certain Mr Lampard at first. Christ, that would be terrifying.
  10. Agreed, the fact that both Klopp and his assistants are all going would suggest they've lined someone up. Clearing the deck once Klopp goes. Feels like a death? It'll be very strange. He will be missed.
  11. It'll be Alonso, wouldn't be surprised if it's already agreed something hence today's announcement. They've known for three months, I doubt they've sat on their hands. It's feels similar to when Klopp departed Dortmund, there was a suspicion he'd up here even with Rodgers still in place. I'd expect Klopp to take a well deserved year off and then take the German job for the next World Cup. All very sad but to be honest not entirely suprising, I half expected him to leave last summer. He'll leave us in good shape as he's kicked off the rebuild. In fairness he's been very honest, he's knackered and clearly wasn't going to be around for the next five years. In the modern world of football nine years is a pretty long stint these days. I doubt we'll see a Ferguson type multi-decade reign again at the highest level. It's been an incredible journey. I couldn't have asked anything more of our manager.
  12. It'll be Alonso, that's a bit of a non-committal news conference he's given.
  13. We're waiting in the wings for a big £90 million bid to Fulham next summer.
  14. It's a matter of time until the Conservatives are quoting Enoch Powell.
  15. It's going to be difficult to play the victim again with a straight face after multiple charges of financial irregularities? No doubt will go full on trumpian conspiracy mode. It's a conspiracy by the authorities to do down Everton as they are such a threat to the status quo.
  16. Darwin is a world beater in comparison and to think how disappointed many of us when he chose to go to Chelsea for £55+ million.
  17. Werner still has no end product at all, clearly still doesn't understand offside. Spawny manc goal incoming.
  18. Probably, I'm expecting a 4-3 either way. City the better side but look really open. Nice to see the Middle East delivering a good game.
  19. Gotta love the Libdems, is there anyone they wouldn't go into coalition with?
  20. This is getting ridiculous. Obviously the media won't cut us any slack unlike the mancs and saudi's.
