  1. We played three in midfield in the final when finnan went off you absolute crab. Gerrard got forward more but he wasn't playing in a free role you brainwashed fool. Benitez played him in centre mid more than any other position in the time he was here. You know what, it's only when he started moving him around when we stopped winning trophies. Where do you think gerrard played in the cup final named after him. No one else trusts him there? Where do you think he's been playing since Benitez left? The reason Benitez stopped playing him there is because he can't stand midfielders who move further than 10 yards away from the centre halves. He got lucky in that he had the best passer in world football who was happy to do that. In the end he even wanted shut of him. What we seen in Benitez last season is his view on football and what he wants us to play like. If you are happy with that you are mental. All Benitez does is restrict the attacking players he doesn't improve them at all. It's their natural ability in spite of Benitez tactics that sometimes comes through. Playing gerrard behind the striker harmed the team more often than not and that famous season which actually led to fuck all is just a myth. It wasn't some great attacking master stroke. It was so Benitez could have a load of men behind the ball to stop the other team from scoring and hope the ability of his two best players could come up with the magic. That season we fell behind in ten league games before pulling gerrard back and throwing another centre forward on and winning the game. In a lot of others we didn't do that and just drew. You know what happened in the end. Managers like ferguson and Wenger help and improve players by giving them free licence to run at people and flood their centre forwards with chances. Benitez does the opposite. I dont see how he actually improved any of our attacking players when all he did was restrict them. Torres and gerrard would have became world class regardless wherever they would have went in their careers. The reason I know that is because gerrard was world class before he got here which you actually even failed to argue and Torres was world class under Benitez and if he could have done that he could have done it under any manager.
  2. No he's not he's saying he became world class because of Benitez which is fucking laughable to say the least. He is a stupid cunt I don't see how I am lowering myself by stating a fact.
  3. It goes to show when you must have started supporting us. Gerrard was already one of the best centre mids in world football before Benitez arrived. It's why we won the champions league. You are literally the most stupid cunt on here if not the internet itself.
  4. Best post I've read since the news broke. Luckily from what I have heard Ayre is on that list of people who cannot stand him so that should mean he doesn't stand a chance.
  5. Jairzinho is one the best posters on here I think.
  6. Fucking hell are you for real? Seriously. Yes I disagreed with him. I know that's sacrilege to you blind worshippers but what the fuck else do you want me to base it on. You see I use my own eyes and own experience to make up my own mind. What do you do with yours? Ask Benitez then just agree with him? You're a fucking cretin. No I wouldn't have a 100% record. It doesn't mean I can't think any manager is doing one or a number of things wrong you stupid fucking cunt. All our recent managers haven't won the league either and that's why they aren't in charge either. Stubborness is all well and good when it leads to something. Two defensive midfielders every single fucking game when the side is struggling isn't. Maybe I shouldn't have used teh word stubborn then. Maybe I should have said blind stupid. Sven doesn't do tactics he just picks a load of players off reputation and tells them to sort it out themselves because they are all internationals. I don't ever remember him putting a poll on the internet. Do you realise how stupid you sound. Stubborness is the sign of a winner after listing a load of mediocre managers then saying basically all managers are stubborn. Various players left because he fucked up and finished 7th in the league. All the big stars would have left because we wouldn't have won anything with him in charge and he would have needed somebody else to blame other than the owners. What is it with you and the media you fucking clown? I think you need to fuck off to RAWK to be honest. I don't give a shit what the media think. I want a manager who largely makes decisions I think are good. I don't think that will make sense to you though.
  7. They aren't baseless conclusions though are they just as I am sure your views on him aren't baseless. The football media is full of so much shite that I doubt anyone pays any attention or could form any opinion from it. It could easily be me saying to you your whole opinion is based on the media because all you have read is Tomkins. I went the match and watched Benitez make decision after decision which I disagreed with. To be honest I have got no real problem with his transfer record. He signed some howlers but every manager does. Mostly he signed good players. He caused playersto go in the end because of his pig headedness and they haven't been replaced. It's his tactics I mainly had issue with. He was absolutely shite tactically in my view and his stubborness caused this. You might disagree with me but I am not basing that on something I've read somewhere I am basing it on watching pretty much every game he managed us in. As soon as you start throwing that basing your argument from the media you look like a twat and shows that you have no argument to what I am saying and makes me not even want to converse with you.
  8. He wasn't good enough. We finished 7th in the league after he had spent 5 years at the club. Don't get me wrong G&H played a massive part in that but so did Benitez. He sent the club in a downward spiral by alienating our best players (which he had signed to be fair to him) who a few have then subsequently left and have still not been adequately replaced. His attitude does stink. He argues with everyone - his own players, his own assistant, the owners, the academy etc And he thinks he's untouchable. The consistent shite decisions he made when they were evidently harming the team he persisted with because he wasn't accountable. It was all someone elses fault.
  9. Then three months down the line when his tactics aren't working he starts blaming the owners for not giving him more money and the mongs lap it up. He's had his chance and he wasn't good enough. We sacked him because he sent the club in a downward spiral that it's still recovering from. His attitude stinks the place out because he thinks he's untouchable and unaccountable.
  10. I got to this bit and stopped reading. Why is this always the case if someone has an opinion different to your own? When people say that I always think you haven't got a clue and what's worse is you think your more clever than everyone else. If I can be bothered I might read the whole post and respond later.
  11. This was going well until you got lost in your own camp. Rafa needed to go when he did. He had completely lost the plot and it appeared he had lost the dressing room as well. Ithink you agree with that You can't forever keep employing the manager if they are doing a bad job. As soon as you start looking for a new manager whilst still employing one things get messy so they made the decision to get rid and then start looking for a new manager. They then chose Hodgson. Benitez has shown to be a far superior manager than Hodgson over the years that's clear for everyone. I think the majority of people were apprehensive when Hodgson got the job but the majority of fans who wanted Benitez out got behind it because he was the new manager and the Benitez bummers were not happy and trying to undermine any decision. This is being mistaken for people who got behind him wanting Hodgson as their first choice. There does appear to be two camps but it's not as clear as people like you are making out. In my view it should still be anyone but Benitez if that's Martinez then so be it. This isn't because I backed Hodgson after he got the job it's because Rafa has proven he's not capable of managing the team long term. Long term in my view is what we should be after. He's an accident waiting to happen. Martinez hasn't proved anything other than he has a certain philosophy and he wouldn't be my first choice. My reason is basically that Rafa has proved he isn't good enough by helping nearly ruin the club and a new manager is taking risk. A risk though is definitely better than what Benitez offers which is a certain. Certain shite.
  12. Haha we've been doing a bit of that as well like. I think we've got more centre forwards right than wingers though over the years.
  13. The only place his career would get worse than at Man City is Liverpool. We've been ruining wingers since McManaman
  14. The squad selection is fucking hilarious I think. Should piss a few manc cunts off as well as the beloved Carrick isn't in there. Rightly so in my opinion, he's a fucking crab living off the quality of the rest of their team. Made up for Carroll and hopefully Henderson might sneak in. The more experience our players can get at this level the better especially with us not being in the champions league at the moment. I hoep Roy sticks to what he knows and plays 442 with Carroll and another up front and Gerrard and Parker in the middle. It's a shame Lennon didn't get in as I think he's our best winger but there is still enough wide players to make it work.
  15. Howard Gayle is one of the biggest pricks I have ever come across in my life. He used to run Tiber Street kids footy team in Toxteth. When it was under 15's I played against them in the south merseyside league and they were an absolute bunch of scumbags. Threatening everyone including the referee from the 1st minute onwards with that gobshite standing on the line laughing at them. They turned up to a few games with bags of weapons as well.
  16. Absolute fucking nonsense. He's been played out of position pretty much all season. When he plays in the middle he generally plays well. He gets forward as well and will probably compliment Leiva quite well in a midfield 2. That's if Shelvey doesn't keep putting in displays like that. You would think Shelvey was in his mid twenties he exudes that much assurance and confidence on the ball. When I seen that line up tonight the first thing that jumped out at me was the centre mids. It was a proper old fashioned line up. 442 big guy and little fella up front and two proper centre mids who go forward and back. The best thing for me about Henderson tonight was he didn't shirk a challenge. I hope him and Shelvey are buzzing off that performance tonight. They fucking bullied them in the middle as much andy bullied them up front.
  17. Absolute nonsense. Players get plenty of training and game time to practice running with the ball when that's a better option. Two touch football in training will be very minor and small in comparison as well It does have its advantages alsol. It forces the players to think about what they are going to do with the ball before they get it and forces their first touch to be better.
  18. We sign centre mids every single season. We need to try something different. Throw money at some wingers and get a few of them to compete with each other.
  19. I wasn't drawing any conclusions like I just don't see any benefit from what they were doing. I can honestly say I have never heard of or played in a training match where the sole aim is to control the ball and whack it as hard as you can at the goal. You have drills for that sort of thing.
  20. I've hardly slaughtered Doni and Jones I just think in the games they've played they haven't looked comfortable or good enough to be our first choice keeper. I'm not ignoring Reina's poor season or mistakes he's made. He's been poor by his standards but things could still be a lot worse. He's not David James or Westerveld yet. I just think he's strong enough to get over this poor season and get back to his best. If he does that then we will have one of the top keepers in the world again. He's not untouchable and if this carries on then maybe he would need replacing I just think its a bit early for that and there are other positions in more need.
  21. That's a bit harsh. I think Reina cares and tries as much as anyone in the team. He's just been poor this season.
  22. How can you think he will not start as number one next year? There are other positions we are more desperate to fill than Reina. Out two back up keepers have shown they aren't good enough. Do you think we could sign a better keeper than Reina, when we are basically going to short a centre half, two wingers and a centre forward.
