  1. Right sub. At least for the player off. Firmino was fucked.
  2. I'm on the halftime Throaties. Shouted myself raw at those goals. This isn't over. We can't be complacent. No way we can press with that intensity for the full 90 minutes. Although, we did seem to have a little breather in thelast 5-10 minutes. If City come out and look for the away goal, I think we'll sit off a bit like we did in the Wijnaldum 1-nil and try and hit them on the counter.
  3. Slow start. But City not doing much with their possession. Sane looks like the go to option for City.
  4. C'mon Redmen! Into these from the very start.
  5. About 4 or 5 cans lashed. I'm sure they'll get over it. The crying quims. Who lashed stuff at and beat up Everton fans in the Etihad stands. Fuck them.
  6. The lad who's sent me the team in the past has just messaged me with this same line up.
  7. I've got a print of Klimt's Die Jungfrau above the fireplace. One of my favourite paintings. It's even got a little bit of tit in it.
  8. Ha. The confidence will kick in come kick off time, I'm sure.
  9. Just got a negative feeling that this will be a massive ask over the two legs. Not sure if my thoughts are being guided by the drubbing at their place. But, there's a big argument that that result wasn't an accurate reflection of the quality of the two teams and the outcome was skewed by a combination of the Mané red and some serious shithousery and tool downing. There's been worse Liverpool teams who've knocked out teams better than the City one. And Klopp has form for getting his Dortmund team to get unexpected results against bigger teams (not that City are a bigger club than us, but they're better). We'll need to be at our best. They won't have it as easy as they did against Everton. But, midfield and right back are big concerns for us.
  10. Only got round to watching the first one. That Carbonara looked amazing though!
  11. Anybody a fan? To clarify, I don't mean badly drawn pictures of The Rock or Michael Barrymore with a stonker on. Proper art. I've gained a bit more appreciation for it in recent times. I'm by no means an art connoisseur, but a fan of stuff by the likes of Klimt, Rothko, Miro, Monet and the classics from the likes of Caravaggio and Velazquez. Also like some Japanese stuff, particularly Hokusai and Hiroshige. Zhong Biao is an interesting modern Chinese artist who does some good stuff with a bit of a Banksy feel to it. And I find the Art Of....(Spain, France, China etc) series of BBC documentaries by Andrew Graham Dixon to be very interesting. The BBC An Art Lovers' Guide series is decent too. Season 2 starts soon and has them visiting Lisbon, Beirut and Baku. Discuss.... favourite artists, paintings etc, recommended books or documentaries?
  12. Active shooter incident at YouTube's HQ in the States. Somebody must've got pissed off with the ads and buffering.
  13. My local MP, Louise Ellman, getting all of a jumble on C4 News just then. Calling out Corbyn meeting those Jewdas folks. The extent of the disappointment seems to largely stem from the Jewdas folks being critical of Israel. But, we've been told that the issue isn't criticism of Israel and that such isn't antisemitism. So, why the criticism of Corbyn meeting these people? It seems like some people are playing the "self-hating Jew" card and implying that these folks aren't proper Jews as no proper Jew would criticise Israel. It's confusing. Is the issue Israel or antisemitism?
  14. From HuffPost: "Nearly 1,000 people have joined Labour since Jewish groups staged an unprecedented protest against anti-semitism in the party last week, HuffPost UK can reveal. The ‘Membership Weekly KPI Report’ for the week since March 26 – the day of the ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration in Parliament Square – shows that 952 people signed up to Labour. In the same period, 180 people actively resigned. The Labour leader may be heartened by the new joiners over the past two weeks, during which he faced unprecedented pressure to tackle anti-semitic abuse by some in the party. Leaked official figures for Monday March 19 to Sunday April 1 show a mixed picture, with the current total membership now standing at 546,110. A total of 1,714 have joined up - and 470 have actively resigned – in the past fortnight as Jeremy Corbyn responded to the controversy."
  15. There's a slide from that presentation that compares the size of their Pie In The Sky Stand to Dortmund's "Yellow Wall." That's fair enough, given that that's the stand they're hoping to emulate. I bet you can't guess what other single tiered stand they've done a comparative size slide for?...
  16. In a taxi with a female friend the other day. Going to a little house party. Meant to be there for half 5. I notice the clock on the dashboard says 17:40 and say that we'll be a bit late. She replies "we've got plenty of time. It's only 20 past and we're almost there." She was looking at the meter app on the driver's phone. And it said £8.20 anyway, so how you get 20 past 5 from that is still beyond me???
  17. Cometh the hour, cometh the Dejan.
