  1. Another good game from him, he’s been vital to us the last few weeks. He’s got some weaknesses, but his engine and work rate is second to none. Also very creative player. If he keeps going like this I hope we can keep him for 10+ years.
  2. One of the best midfielders in the world. Beast of a player.
  3. Still the best defender in the world. By some distance.
  4. That’s exactly the point. It’s not debatable. We’re being cheated here, something I realized months ago. The achievement to be as high in the table as we sit is unreal. Unreal. I’m sure Sheik Manaour is pissed off, with all he’s put into the refereeing we should be far behind by now.
  5. The power of Abu Dhabi stepped in after 97 minutes to decide the match.
  6. Robertson, no thanks, he’s not good enough in tje positioning and will offer them too many chances. Perhaps the last ten if we’re still behind. Salah obviously will be on soon.
  7. Dont think that half was bad at all. Apart from a poor first five minutes, and some terrible defending on a corner we’ve been pretty good. I have the feeling we can score at least a couple against these, it’s gonna be about keeping control and not take too much risk. If we take too much risk too early they’re likely to kill us off on the break. Also a bit about quality and a cool head in the decisive moments, both Eliott and Bradley have had very good shooting chances inside their box, bit seemed to be a bit scared to take the responsibility to shoot. And of course Szoboszlai could and really should have scored. This can still be done, come on you mighty Reds!!
  8. I’ve seen hundreds of terrible decisions in the PL this season. The ref and VAR failing to send Moder of Brighton off right now is possibly the worst of them all. Absolutely shocking decision. As bad as it gets. You may as well referee the games by throwing a dice. When I say it’s the worst decision I’ve seen I didnt include the thing that happened to us against Spurs, as I dont think that counts as a decision. Thay was something else.
  9. Reckon it’s a good decision. Robertson hasnt been very good defensively the last games. Gets drawn out of position far too easily.
  10. Wouldn’t be too expensive either, as there are very cheap connecting flights via Abu Dhabi.
  11. It is a penalty today. Just like blasting the ball 40 yards after the ref has blown the whistle isn’t a yellow today. On other occasions, or indeed other situations, it’s the opposite.
  12. And predictably the match is won by that same cheat that should have been sent off. Go Emirates go!
  13. Should have been sent off obviously. Possible red in the first half, then the most blatant dive I’ve seen in years.
  14. The pass he made to Salah in the 76th minute tonight was unreal. Not sure any other player could make the ball travel that long, at that speed and arrive inch perfect on target. Didnt watch it again to check, but he probably made it look easy as well.
  15. And more significant than that I’d assume the club indirectly genterates revenue and jobs for a lot of small and large businesses in the city, hotels, bars, shows, restaurants, taxis/transport etc. Didnt check any numbers, but would believe football tourism is a pretty big thing in Liverpool.
  16. Definately. There are different rules inside and outside the penalty area. And inside the area the rules are not even remotely the same for attackers and defenders. If a defender falls over it’s a free kick, no matter the reason. That said this actually applies for all team, and I think everyone simply accept it more or less. The fact that there are different rules for different teams and the rules keep changing from case to case is far more difficult to accept. But that’s a different discussion.
  17. Excellent CB, not many better in this league. His long range passing however is still not very good imo. It’s not bad either, it’s probably what you’d expect from a CB. He’s not even remotely close to Van Dijk in that department. Van Dijks passes travel at twice the speed, which means they’re far more difficult for the opponent to get to, and they’re more accurate as well.
  18. It was a great save. But not as good as the one from Dudek. I still dont like watching that one, as every time I see it I’m sure Shevchenko is gonna score
  19. He’s the perfect squad player. Has shown this week that he can definately do a job at DM as well. He’s mobile, pretty strong in the 50/50s and quite good on the ball in tight spaces. Doesnt give it away easily, which is vital in that position. He’ll never be a Pirlo of course, especially his long range passing is quite weak, but all in all surprised how good he has looked in there.
  20. What a win. What a team, what spirit and belief! Never our best match quality wise, which is exactly what we have to expect with all the injuries we’re having this season. Three wins in a week with the situation we’re in is simply a massive achievement. Thought Van Dijk was very good today, he’s extremely important to this team right now. Konate also decent, as was Bradley and Elliott. Thought Diaz was decent, for long spells he was a one man attack. Gakpo and Robertson disappointing, as was Endo, which made too many mistakes on the ball today. Gomez was better than expected in the DM role, but his massive howler late in the game nearly cost us. You simply can not do that. Nunez brought quality, from the moment he came on we had much more movement and threat in behind them. And of course a superb goal to win us the game. We need him to stay fit! Our best player for me was Mac Allister. So calm and composed om the ball, excellent in tight situations, and strong as a bull in the 50/50s. The way he outmuscled the opponent for the assist was trademark Mac Allister. He does that all the time, and gets too little credit for it. Simply a top class all round midfielder.
