    Jermaine Pennant played probably his best game for is in athens but at the same time i seem to remember he fucked up big time at a crucial moment (if i'm right that is i was leathered and behind the goal and obviously have never watched the match again). As i recall he got in behind the milan defence and took it to the byline and all he had to do was roll it nicely for gerrard who was steamin in the box at 0 - 0. Instead he sort of give it to stevie at an awkward thigh hight under no pressure and obviously gerrard struggled to get a decent shot away. I'm not saying we lost in athens because of him but that specific moment is what still stands out for me today about athens and i made my mind up from then on we needed better

    Its another competetion for us to try and win so i definately hope we qualify. It fuckin hurt when we got knocked out by Braga despite it not being europes ultimate competetion. Lets face it, its very rare that our strongest 11 will start until around the quarters anyway, so its not exactly going to fatigue our players. Only downside is the bastard sunday league games we'd get in abundance

    All very logical questions. Fact is Carra and Stevie staying quiet doesn't mean they give less of a shit, it's just the way they deemed best to handle the situation. Both are club legends who care deeply about Liverpool, I'm sure if they thought speaking out against the owners would have improved things tenfold they wouldn't have hesitated. But lets not dwell on those dark times, we were subsequently sold and the old owners received nothing. Onwards and upwards

    I disagree, Charlie Adam is very technically gifted, more so than Spearo or Lucas and there might be games against the likes of Stoke at home where we'll need craft over graft. Its all about having options

    Lets not forget this writing off of Chelsea happened the season we finished 2nd. Aging squad etc. They went on to win the league the following season only buying Zhirkov, who hardly played and when he did was hardly spectacular anyway. I fully expect them to be challenging on all fronts come next season

    If they are the real kits, and they look very good fakes if theyre not, i'm very suprised the club have made the goalkeepers top so close in colour to the outfield strip
