  1. 1 pillow. It's my SAS training kicking in. The SAS only take 1 pillow behind enemy lines.
  2. Eh? On this occasion, I don't know whether a 'WTF' or a 'facepalm' is more acceptable etiquette.
  3. Quite forgot about that. Great news. The only downside of today's events is that Mrs Jennings had to ask the children to leave the living room, because Daddy said 'Fucking hell' at the top of his voice. And since then she hasn't spoken to me. Double bubble whammy!
  4. I can't go through too many games like that. Phew!
  5. Bloody hell! If a team had thirty-odd chances against us they would score at least a dozen.
  6. Stevie hasn't got his shooting boots on today.
  7. Stevie looking a touch off the pace. The amount of space they are getting in front of our defense is a concern. We can win this. Less of the first time passing in and around the box. Force a mistake. Is Kuyt on the bench?
  8. Getting nervous now. Come on you mighty reds!
  9. That lad on the left is dying to say something, but his tiny brain can't convert the thoughts into coherent sentences.
  10. I think this is the conversation and question that Ferguson wants us to be having. The very nature of discussing it and perpetuating it, is what makes it plausible. A bit like Sky News asking a slightly under pressure boss "Will you be able to keep your job?" Don't give it credence. If players don't have to leave clubs for kicking supporters in the mush; or deliberately ending players careers; or being imprisoned for drunk driving then there is no story here. So don't make one.
  11. "This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria... I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing."
  12. THUMBS UP FOR C. N. De F. Good post and welcome to the forum. I see it the same way as you. I believe a man has been incorrectly labelled a racist. This is outrageous. It remains to be seen what repercussions this has on his career. Unfortunately the media in this country is driven by its own agenda and to a degree controls the minds and opinions of people. People in this country don't what to challenge what what they hear. People don't want to think for themselves. So any opposition is going to be difficult. To compound this, the FA is a second rate operation which is incapable of handling first rate football. So to expect them to manage the formal side of things was always a major risk. I am not just blaming the FA and the media, but this also explains why nothing will happen to Evra - even though he has behaved appallingly and clearly outside the code of conduct of the FA. Liverpool F.C are also to blame in this too. I don't have the answers to what they should have done, or what they should do now. Luis clearly still feels aggrieved. What are they doing about that? To me the handshake issue is a complete non event. It is not important. Luis has served a punishment for the crime - whether he did it or not. Issuing apologies for missing a handshake is weak. I am sorry I cant be more constructive - I don't know what the answers are - but hopefully the club employ more intelligent people than me to handle this. Let's hope.
  13. This is an example of the media trying to create news to report on. They do it all the time. I could give you some examples, but if you just watch Sky News for 15 minutes you will see it happen live, right in front of you. The tabloids do it too. It is a way for them to develop a news pipeline. Don't buy into it. The best reaction? Laugh at them and talk about something else.
  14. Oh dear. Very disappointing. We are feeding the media contrived hyperbole. The handshake is such a non-issue. It is in the media's interest to have this develop. It was a handshake for goodness sake. Last week 11 handshakes had to be cancelled. Move on.
  15. A man refused to shake another man's hand. Nothing more to see here.
  16. Just watched the footage of Evra at the end. He runs gloating right in front of Suarez. In fact the referee has to intervene - that must be in his report given that he had to take action. Well done to Luis for not reacting at all. That must've been tough.
  17. He didn't really say that did he? His attitude was very different when Peter Schmeichel racially abused Ian Wright.
