  1. I fucking hate this 'he's got a wife and a newborn baby' bollocks! He's got 7? kids that he's wiling to admit to with 3? other women. This pretence that he's just some normal family man is nauseating.
  2. It seems almost inevitable with him. He's such a decent lad and seems really popular amongst the team, but just seems so susceptible to injuries. Hope its not too serious.
  3. Maguire should have challenged him to a fight in the penalty area as he'd have got nowhere near the attacker.
  4. Speaking of Charles Dance; https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/game-of-thrones-charles-dance-open-to-petition-remake/
  5. I must be one of the only people that hadn't seen Charles Dance in anything before watching Game of Thrones. I remember saying to my Mrs that I was surprised the actor that played him hadn't really done anything before it, to which she corrected me at length.
  6. Remember though, There is no magic money tree!
  7. The key to this is if Thiago has his heart set on us, and only us? If he's available for between 25/30 million Euros then you'd have thought there would be a lot of interest in him?
  8. The early goals duped some fans in to thinking he was the new Ronaldo but then out of nowhere he looked like a player that couldn't get in the Shrewsbury team 2 years ago and didn't even stand out in the Championship last year.
  9. We played Arsenal on the opening day a few years back. I think the only rule regarding big teams is that you can't have two of the previous top 4 playing each other, but one of those teams against Spurs or Arsenal will be fine.
  10. He's done pretty well in the Championship, but not enough to play for a team challenging to win major trophies. Give him a full season at Swansea, if he goes up another level and ends up being one of the top scorers in the league then he may have a chance here. The problem we have is that Firmino is such a difficult player to replace in our team.
  11. its RMC sport though and they are usually pretty reliable.
  12. 4 year deal agreed between the player and Liverpool. The player has already picked his house in England. Liverpool still to finalise a deal with Bayern though.
  13. I meant that maybe there's a feeling from both the player and the manager that when push comes to shove he is not the first choice. If we were to sign Thiago, then Gini would fall down the pecking order. All the signs are pointing to him leaving either this summer or next due to his contract situation. We wouldn't have allowed this to happen with VVD, Salah or Mane. He's not viewed as indespensible.
  14. Agreed. Thinking back to the Barcelona semi final, he didn't start in midfield in either game and he said he was angry at being on the bench. If both parties wanted him to stay we'd have offered him a new contract by now and he'd have signed it.
  15. Can't make up my mind on this. In some ways he could be our best midfielder, seems to have the skill and the dribbling/passing ability required, but I wonder if he's got the industry to do what our midfield does?
  16. Have they actually got that sort of money to throw around though? United do this thing where they leak stories about how they were just about to sign Gareth Bale, but missed out on him, then sign Marouane Fellaini instead or pretend to walk away from a deal, only to go back at the end of the transfer window with their tail between their legs and stump up the full asking price no matter how much it is. In the last 12 months they've spent nearly 200 million on four players that wouldn't get in our starting eleven. They are now being linked with the likes of Grealish for £70/80 million!
  17. Just read that, how they can call one rejected bid a 'saga' is beyond me!
  18. Just wait until they hear about the pedestrianisation of the City centre.
  19. The selling club have named their price, United have pretended to walk away. No doubt they will be back in to pay the asking price just like they did with Maguire and Fernandes.
  20. I think there's a big difference between wanting your club to spend some money against wanting to spend over 100 million on one player in the current climate.
