Listened to him for a few months about 6 years back. At first it was ok but then it became tedious and unfunny and I got pissed off with him constantly burping into the microphone. There is I dont care if it's the BBC and I am on air I will do and say what I like and then there is just plain bad manners. He just comes across as an arrogant fat prick whenever I see or hear him now

Skrtel and The Greek are hardly coming out of defence Hansen like are they I dont Carragher was ever a ball playing centre half Hyypia and Agger have always been the footballers Carragher did the basics very well and his positional play and overall leadership qualities are what makes him what he is. Without a doubt over the last 18 months the quality of player around him has reduced considerably I would see this as the main reason his game has changed not his legs going!!!

By the way i think the major difference that he may be going long in more recent seasons is that previously Alonsa used to come deep and collect a lot of ball from the centre halves obviously Lucas doesn't show as much as Alonso or even Hamann prior to him and isn't as confident receiving the ball all the time, this i think has contributed to Carragher being forced to go long more often than in the past

I think the point he was making was Carraghers Style of defending has not changed in 14 years / 600 games he has played for Liverpool not that he has always hoofed the ball clear.

Whats Poulsen got to do with the thread. The point being made is that Aquilani is not equipped for the premiership and never will be no matter how well he is playing in serie A. Hodgson obviously decided it was better to ship him out and thought Poulsen would be an adequate replacement he quite clearly has got that wrong but at 16 million less

Some of the shite out of Taggart this week about City buying the league is unbelievable he is one bitter fuckin cunt. I seem to remember at the end of the 80's and early nineties United buying 5 or 6 players every summer breaking the british transfer record 2 or 3 times every summer on the likes of Webb, Ince, Phelan, Pallister, Wallace, Schmeichel, Irwin, Bruce, Hughes, McClair etc.... and that was when there wasn't silly money around but he would spend 8/10 million every summer. Now City are doing the same all be it with bigger wages and fees he is spitting his dummy out. Dont get me wrong I fuckin hate what City are doing to the game but that hypocritical cunt has been doing it for 20 years

This weeks Gareth Bale!!! I seem to remember Michael Ricketts scoring half a dozen goals in his first ten games when Bolton came up and getting called up for England. I am saying the kid hasn't got potential he looks like he will become a decent player but the medias demand for him in the England squad is ridiculous

What Fringe players who came through the ranks earn 80k a week?? Dont quote the likes of Rodriguez & Cole cause they are internationals brought on bosmans so get big salaries I cant the Fletchers and O'Sheas of the world would have turned down 50k a week

Even towards the end of his career he still scored one of the greatest overhead kicks i have ever seen at Blackburn. It was pure perfection met it perfect and landed in the corner of the net keeper no chance not shinned or nothing or just over your shoulder like Berbatov's and hope for the best!! Pure class and he was on the decline then too.

I have a couple of mates who are mancs and they are majorly concerned. Its alright buying potential and identifying potential as Slur Alex put it yesterday when you have a squad consisting of Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Neville & Van Nistelrooy they can help develop a young Rooney or Ronaldo. Anyone footballer would have admiration for Scholes and Giggs arguably 2 of the best players in the last 15 years. But he is now bringing youngsters in who are going to have to learn off Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher & Berbatov thats were he has a problem. As for the green and gold campaign they say they are sick of seeing muppets in the new shirt with a green and gold scarf on with a programme, eating a pie and having a pint in the match clueless fuckers is correct.

Anyone been watching this series... You have to admire the selection process by the BBC some of the plebs on it are comedy gold and Lord Nookie Bear comes out with some belters.

We had another one for a sales position a year or so later again we went through the job centre. This funny looking guy came in who was 41 but looked about 58 still lived at home with his mum and wore an old parker coat which I hadn't seen for years. Anyway we asked him what he had done previously and he told us he has been a part time actor for the last 15 years and that he had recently been in pride and prejudice. He then advised that he wasn't pleased with film company however as they had asked him to grow a beard for his scene and when the film came out you only seen the back of his head.....cue me and my mate bursting out laughing which he was not amused about!!
