  1. "She'll be coming round the mountain" ?
  2. Agree with all that. Its the same when people say Lads in the army don't deserve stick, its the government who went to war. If you join the army, you can't really be surprised if you're sent off to war now, can you?
  3. Dossena has clearly improved as the season has progressed. Quite slowly, I suppose but I think coming from Italy, to the Prem is difficult as the leagues are the most contrasting of all the top leagues in Europe. He's working hard, he's lost weight, and does extra training sessions in an attempt to make himself more capable in the League. I can't fault the lad, to be honest.
  4. What I noticed yesterday was Xabi seems to play the exact same role for Spain as he does for Liverpool. I was only half watching the game but he was playing with Senna, a more defensive player, similar to Mascherano, and just like he does at Liverpool, he was the one coming to sit with the centre backs, taking the ball off them and starting attacks from deep. I think it takes away from the idea that Xabi would be a better attacking player if Rafa took the shackles off. The only difference between the Liverpool team and Spain team is that in Spains team Xabi has a few more better attackers, with better movement etc, to play with.
  5. I'd let him have the Crunchy nut. I can go one morning without Cereal, but I can't go many more years with out a title. Rafa is the key to the title. And thats some of the most profound shit you're gonna read on this forum today.
  6. "You're the perfect bait. They will view you as conflicted, you're homophobia is so visceral."
  7. Sorry to intrude but Alarmed/Frightened is not the same as shocked/disgusted. Sorry again. As you were.
  8. Forever the optimist- Come May, We shall be champions, I will have breezed through all my exams to a 2:1, and I'll have a shiny new Car. Believe in the dream.
  9. Woo "repped" me for a joke only he and I seemed to get.
  10. Not sure why you're getting stick for this. Good post mate. As you suggest, I don't think unity and solidarity mean blindly accepting Rafas decisions and not criticising him, but supporting the team 100% when they're on the pitch. I think its fair to say a lot of the support (or lack thereof) at the ground recently has been unfair to some of the players and the manager. Even worse so on the forums, with some of the disgusting names/insults/accusations being thrown around. I also agree with the snowball effect of certain "negative" opinions, and the misuse of Good reds genuine concerns, for alterior motives. I know people want to rant, and get their issues with the manager/team off their chests but a bit of thought, respect, and perspective would be nice. I also don't think fans who prefer this are living in some daydream/superfan/utopia that some others accuse them of.
  11. I love big European games, and answering these types of challenges is what its all about. Lets have 'em.
  12. Did Rafa not very recently emphasise in a press conferance how important it was to get Agger signed up? Rafa will not play players just to make them Happy and if he doesn't play them it doesn't mean he wants them gone.
  13. I haven't got time to read the thread but thats bang on, and the amount of times I've seen it stated as fact that Rafa is doing something to just "prove a point" in my short time here has left me bewildered.
  14. Gotta love Crouch, he's a good lad. He made a terrible mistake leaving us though. I suppose he's probably just happy to be guaranteed regular football.
  15. Do you really believe this? He does everything he does just to annoy other people at the club, fans etc? He has no intention of making Liverpool FC successful?
  16. Certainly not just "to prove a point". A stupid, baseless allegation in my opinion which makes no sense whatsoever.
  17. It looks like acting like a cunt on tape or video is the new "upskirt shot of the vagina getting out of the car" for men. An easy way to get publicity. I predict many more cases over the next few months.
  18. Oh please. He said nothing of the sort. He was better than most gave him credit for, but hit a poor run of form after his injuries.
  19. Surely you see the ingratitude? At one point we were three points clear at the top of the table. At this point in our previous 4 seasons (and a few more including Houlliers last few terms) we were nowhere near challenging for the title. At THIS point of the season we're the main challengers to a far superior United team. Things could be a lot better and Rafa has clearly made mistakes. But things could also have been a lot worse and Rafa's mistakes haven't cost us the title YET. So maybe untill we are mathematically out of the race, we should have some patience with the greatest manager we've had in 20 years.
