I usually take the ref bashing with a pinch of salt bit I can confidently say the ref in this man city match has given them every single decision Bournemouth haven't a hope no matter how they play. Great attack minded manager ???? He had the best striker in the world in the form of his life in the team week in week out Christ I could have managed that team. In the premiership era I would have rated Suarez ahead of Ronaldo then Henry that's how good he was for that period of time I remember a snapshot of a defender looking at the ball on his foot. His head was tilted to left his shoulder was tilted to right hips moving slightly left and foot pushing ball to right the man was mesmeric and could not be defended. We should have hacked up with the number of goals we scored. I am still bitter over the gallant failure which had duck all to do with Gerard.

I think we are better just one point ahead it is do or die time to keep our noses in front . With a cushion you start thinking could cope with draw here or loss there not now wins or nothing simple as. For starters if we have 7 points from utd Watford and Everton that will do. League winning form right there.

We are going to drop points at some stage . Perversely I would take a win here and a draw against Everton rather than other way around based on what Utd have to play for and what they could do to City. Fully understand no easy games even with sides battling relegation but the 3 points for a win versus 1 for a draw is such a big incentive for relegation threatened teams that they will play more open against us and I am confident we will pick them off. So really think a sneaky win on Sunday could be worth more to us in the grander scheme of how the season plays out.

Think we leave well alone in Jan do nothing. Would want our transfer team to be working on Ryan sessegnon and Timo Werner deals for the summer. We need to hit the ground running next year and to be honest we have lucked out once again (probably bribed every despot in Africa and all the CAF executives as well *source GOT forum) by moving the AFCON this year to the summer time. Salah and Mane will need time off this summer before season starts. Get these two on 5 year contracts identify a right back as understudy to Trent or move Trent to midfield and buy a proven RB (noone springing to my mind) and that should be us covered nicely. Plan for the future now.

Game was a flashback to what we already knew and a flash forward to what we might expect. Thankfully we bought Fabinho in summer if we are to lift title I suspect he will have a large part to play (whatever position). As mentioned in other thread kieta massive disappointment for me.

As you say if Fabinho plays CB Kieta will be the key to beating this lot ball on the ground , driving from midfield short passes with front three. Not that crap we witnessed tonight but with Henderson injured he needs to step up.

Sourness would have given Fernandinho and Kompany the message early doors last night did Henderson even get booked ? Not that going in hard is a pre requisite for a captain but it sets a tone he does not have it in his nature or demeanour to be a follow him through a brick wall type of leader. VVD has the stature class and experience to be the captain need to make the change now. As a player Henderson can do a job until Keïta and Fabinho are firing on all cylinders
