  1. Honestly, it's a lot more positive than anything we've played other than the Arsenal 2nd half and the Blackburn game last week. But that's not saying much, I suppose. Certainly controlling a lot more of the game, but the lack of a cutting edge is still disappointing. Stevie has been a rare positive from this season, but he's having a real mare so far.
  2. That was my thinking as well. But everyone knows how much he cares for the club, maybe it's gotten to the point for him where he felt obliged to say something?
  3. Way to placate an already furious supporter base...... Hopefully Kenny revealed to Henry and co. what an incompetent loon this bloke actually is.
  4. The confirmation of the player power everyone suspected is the most worrying point for me.
  5. Personally, I think Dalglish in the interim is the right method. I think he deserves the opportunity he was turned down in the summer. I'm confident that he'll sort out the utter mess we're in at the moment, and get the team back to a level of football that is watchable, rather than the vomit-inducing trash we're being served up at the moment. While the new owners are bedding themselves in, appointing the right people - and looking carefully at the long-term options available in a detailed process, Kenny can get us back to at least a half-decent level. See how he goes until the end of the season. If he's done a great job, fantastic, keep him on. If things need to go another way, then that's fine as well. It's clear Hodgson needs to be gone as of yesterday, but we need to be careful before rushing out there and getting the first long term replacement available. Having said that, I'd prefer any of the options mooted rather than Roy.
  6. They really are, aren't they. Anyone taking bets on how long before they start here?
  7. I think his 35 years of experience would prove invaluable. One of the most respected managers in Europe too, apparently. Wish we had a manager like that.
  8. If they can improve the revenues and the commercial aspects of the club - particularly abroad - which have been neglected for far too long, as well as making us a success on the pitch, then they basically at least triple the value that they paid for the club. They don't have to be taking dividends to make a profit. This is the exact strategy they've employed at Boston. I think they'll have to differently here (i.e. no ticket price hikes) - but the global fanbase means it's piss easy to make money if you know what you're doing.
  9. I do agree with what you're saying - but it's just such a unique situation - and it's a very difficult situation for them to walk into. For me, it certainly needs to be a point that is made. But of course, I'm sure they're not stupid either. I'd imagine they'll have people watching all of the forums, talking to people with a good idea of the situation - and I'm sure they will have been aware of the unrest and Dalglish chants at the end of the Blackpool disaster. He's got to go - but I can understand why they, with minimal football experience will be hesitant to do it so early. But it has to be done before it's too late - but hopefully it's a point raised in a calm fashion.
  10. Maybe, but not removing Roy as soon as possible is massively damaging to long-term aspirations. In terms of the players we can and can't attract without European football - not to mention the dreaded prospect of relegation - which is real. If we stay there, and I don't see us getting out of it under Hodgson, then NESV have just spunked 300m on a Championship club.
  11. Young players were the easy way for him to shift the blame (he's good at that isn't he!) after the Northampton debacle. Ignoring of course, how ridiculously he played them out of position. Strikers at right midfield etc. From what I can tell he's frozen them out and packed them back off to the reserves, and I think that is just terrible, frankly.
  12. I'd like to see him in at least until the owners bed themselves in and sort out their people and direction they want to take. Kenny I think would be perfect to 'steady the ship' and put a bit of energy back into a demoralised and disinterested squad - given that's what Roy was meant to do but instead he's run the ship straight into a big fuck off iceberg.
  13. His pathetic interviews give a great indication why the players look like they don't give a fuck. All we do is concede possesion and defend, while Roy tells the players that they're shit and they'll be lucky to get a result from any game we play. Gutless and infuriating.
  14. Before they decided to sit back on their 2-0 lead, they'd had 80% of second half possesion. EIGHTY! I found it astonishing, but not surprising, given all we ever seem to do is concede possesion and camp back on the 18 yard box.
  15. On the overwhelming evidence we've seen, then Hodgson is taking us into the Championship - no question. What's he been here for now - 4 months? I haven't seen one game I've been impressed with throughout his reign. There's absolutely no shape or structure - particularly defensively, players are confused and disinterested, and we certainly never look like we're going to score a goal. I don't like calling for managers heads - but he's left us no choice. He's got to go before the situation becomes irreversible.
  16. I'd just like to see them up against those footballing giants Rabotnicki, Trabzonspor and Northampton Town - 2 of which we had 'famous' victories against. Maybe they could have 'ridden the storm'. Get this bloke the hell out of the club. Absolutely clueless.
  17. Can't be anymore anonymous than Haxi.
  18. Not to mention some expert fashion advice! Be a change from Harry Highpants Hodgson.
  19. What's the go with Joachim Low's contract status with the Germans? I think he'd be ideal, personally. One of the younger generation, very clever tactically, and above all - plays some really nice football - with the emphasis on passing, not sitting back on the edge of your area and hacking it up to a lone striker.
  20. We might have been boring as fucking batshit last year, but at least the defence was usually in position. This has been just like Blackpool - defence dragged all over the place. I swear I just saw Kyrgiakos out on the right wing before.
  21. Wow, 2-0 down and conceeding 80% of the second half possesion. Staggering.
  22. Has Roy told the team that the attacking penalty box is hot lava or something? Fuck me, Konchesky pissing about in the corner for 8 minutes before crossing, and there's 2 fucking men in the box???? Unbelievable.
  23. He won't do it. Even he's not that stupid - well maybe he is, but I doubt his lawyers will tell him that accusing a government owned bank of a grand conspiracy is a great idea. Will bow out pathetically on the charm offensive and playing the victim card.
