  1. It does worry me. I don’t know many locals that go apart from the odd season ticket holder (my wife being one but we can’t afford it ). I can’t afford to take my kids and I’m in a decent job. It feels our club is being taken away. I have no problem with fans from other areas, this isn’t a go at them, some are as fervent as anyone. But am I wrong in saying the majority in the ground on match day should really be from Liverpool. Think most local people have been priced out, match day to most local Liverpudlians is watching the reds on telly. In the main, pushed out for the corporate and Liverpool supporting day tripper. My kids aren’t interested, probably because they’ve hardly been, I imagine it will be the same on households all over Liverpool, maybe in a few years LFC will regret this.
  2. Even on the Ian Ayre scale of fuckups, this would seem grandiose. Can’t someone just fuck the brakes up on his Harley or something…..
  3. How come all us plebs know / and have criticised all the shit decisions of the past few years, in great numbers and on numerous websites………………… but those within the hierarchy of Liverpool don’t…
  4. Maybe it will be a case of you don't know what you had until it's...but I can see your point. Although I'd have kept him, he's a class keeper, well, especially for an outlay which could have gone to other areas.
  5. I know you're very respectful toward Reina, but don't you think we had other areas which required attention, a bit more than this one.
  6. We need to strengthen in areas, so we spend £10 million or so on a goalkeeper. Let the one we’ve got, an arguably better keeper go on loan to Napoli and also pay a percentage of his wages. Anyone explain, because at this late hour, I can’t see the sense in that.
  7. That may be so and the heights of previous years may not have been possible, but it may have felt more like our club than it does at the moment.
  8. Broughton FSG etc saved us from a quick death, sometimes I feel we’re in the middle of some sort of slow lingering one, gradually fading. Maybe it would have been better to have entered administration, start again with some sort of fan ownership based model.
  9. Everything does seem to be taking an age though.
  10. Spent the past so many years being so annoyed with people concerning Rafa. Best thing for me he’s gone to Italy. Now we should all be behind Rodgers. Although I’m still hoping for the day when Ayres crashes his Harley into a brick wall.
  11. And Xerxes continues his search for another Jack Slater.
  12. Remember Price talking about Audley Harrison before he beat him on Radio City, commentator saying wasn’t he a bit of a joke now. To be fair Price was respectful, that wasn’t long ago. Thought Price would do well, thought he had all the attributes. People have said he wasn’t fit, that wouldn’t be excusable. He maybe has one more fight / loss before becoming a joke like they spoke about Harrison becoming on the radio.
  13. I feel sorry for the Bulgers Stronts, in your world where do their rights exist.
  14. Went to my first match with my dad around 79. My wife has a season ticket she had to let someone else use about seven years back, we have two kids around same age and couldn’t afford it. The kids are 14 and 15, have hardly been to games because of price, they’re not really interested now. Maybe it will change as they get older. I have to say at least Everton seem to make some sort of effort in respect of locals. Short sighted, as you say, once the day trippers have gone……..what then.
  15. 'It was an unprecedented situation at the beginning. Two children responsible for the most heinous of crimes. Most would agree they should have served time in a prison when they became of age. But ‘do gooders’ had their way and it became a study in rehabilitation with fuck all thought for the real victims. Now it seems the success of their ‘rehabilitation’ has become the be all and end all. In effect they’ve become shielded so much that 'minor misdemeanours' won’t matter, they must feel they’re above the law.
  16. Going with recent history think Houllier's sides may have been too defensive, also Benitez’s sides were at times but going the opposite way, do think we have to have a balance otherwise we’ll likely get cut open much like last season. Maybe we should have a player in the Mascherano mould, I’d like him personally and I think we need one. Then again maybe Rodgers thinks the players at the club at this moment will suffice that type of role, that’s if he even thinks it’s a necessary role. Only one there at the moment I can see is Lucas (albeit poor recently)?
  17. No matter who we sign / don't. As long as the Suarez thing doesn’t carry on too long. The on going thing that he’s staying / going yet lo and behold at the last minute he’s gone but we’ve no time to spend anything received. Be quite sceptical about our status / aims if that happened.
  18. I do as well, think Rodgers will give him his chance. Don't know, whether it's because of other teams or our own, feel strangely optimistic about next season :|
  19. Allen, seems to have slipped under the radar now. I was impressed with him early on last season, thought he was quality as did a few others, or was that partly hype as well, maybe. Anyone think he may show any worth in the coming season.
  20. Think all groups are formed by people willing to get of their arse. That's the whole basis, they all started out with the intention of helping LFC, they had passion. I never agreed with that bloke off here, Kyall was it. But whether you do or don’t agree, they all had enough of a passion to put time in, physically change things and not just type on a website. Things always evolve, then invariably splits form as is the case in all protest groups. I may not like them or what they've become, but I respect them.
  21. I wouldn’t wish harm on many individuals. He is a self serving, horrible person. We all probably know his equivalent in higher management within our respective spheres of work. Say one thing one day, deny it the next, morally corrupt but commercially and career aware. The commercial argument that he’s done well in that roll won’t suffice, he’ll be looking to undermine anyone placed above. Getting back, I wouldn’t wish harm on many, but if one day I read he’d crashed his ‘Harley’ into a support structure on the M62 I’d shed no tears, would many?
  22. Finch Farm is in Halewood, Knowsley isn’t it. If it is LCC wouldn't be buying land on KBC land. Yet KBC are closing my kids school due to a deficit of 1.3m. Utter bastards if true.
  23. They were a support group being slandered by others with other motives. I hope they that were named can get Tyrrell through legal means. I hope the likes of Ayre can be implicated. Lot of hopes but you never know.
  24. Ian Ayre know about it, of course must have. The Harley riding smarm, cunting Beatle sounding bastard of the highest order. The last of the fucking Purslow boys and needs to be out of our club.
  25. A moot point but possibly worth a read regarding. What are the essential steps required for cultivating a crop for food production ?
