See thats what weve been missing positivity, optimism and a dig at the competition, a manager we can be proud of.

So true 7th under Rafa is failure, 7th under Roy is an achievement.

Id have Rafa the coach back, just not Rafa the Manager.

Fan and media only see to focus on Rafa's failings and thats been his downfall. He brought us the future Argentine captain and one of the best strkers in the world. He's won more trophies in 10 years than our current manager has in 30 years. 7th is a disaster for Rafa but an achievement for Hodgson. Id have him back like a shot.

Would we be higher up with a different manager? possibly depends on who we had. Would we be higher up with Rafa? Personally I think so. Not relevant. I would say its the most relevant questions left now the ownership issue is over.

I said on here last season be careful what you wish for when everyone was baying for Rafas blood. Cant see Rafa coming back unfortunately especially given we now have a director of football. Ironically I think Rafa working under a director of football would work. Rafa can setup a team to beat anyone and if you take his purchases out of the equation (like a director of football would do) theres no other coach id rather have. I miss Rafas press conferences too.

Hodgson is only here so we (the fans) have someone to blame when the clubs assets are sold and we are struggling mid table (if lucky). Thats why Kenny wasnt considered for the role because he like Rafa (but for different reasons) will do whats best for LFC.

Is correct, new manager means new opportunity to sell profitable players and keep their mits on the club longer in the hope that someone stumps up 1bn for it. Hardly inspiring is it, im sure all the great, good and average players will be queuing up to get out of Liverpool. Bobby Zamora will save us.

Think he would be a great choice. A track record of achieving with an under achieving team and did a great job with Real Madrid. My only concern is whether he will 'get' the premiership.

Is exactly right in my view. Broughton, Purslow are here to sell the club if they cant sell it for Hick's fabled 700m then sell some players, reduce the wage bill get rid of a manager who wants to win things with the best though expensive players. The debt becomes more servicable and the value of the club decreases. Thus achieving a sale for less while still ensuring they and their employers get their cut.

Ah see how is it possible to not feel sad that a man like this is no longer at the club.

The knives really are out for Rafa arent they. Some muppet on Talkshite called him a fraud and said he should have been sacked at the end of last season! Sad really, its a great shame, just know he will go on and be successful elsewhere.
