    I'm sorry. I should've bowed to his eternal wisdom now that the season starts here and that we're guaranteed fourth place.

    That's a week late after saying he was "flattered" and "honoured" at being linked with "such a famous club" a few days before an important game in a season when he's fucked up on numerous occasions. I just wish he would've shut his gob in the first place instead of having to repair the damage later just for his own interests.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again. Unless Africa gets its act together it should never be allowed to host a World Cup. It's far too early as it is to host one anyway, but obviously Blatter wants to hog the limelight as being "the one who brought the World Cup to Africa". Oh and they can stuff their vuvuzelas up their arses.

    No. They beat Birmingham 1-0 away from home. Everton also beat Wolves away from home. The seasons starts here.

    The only goal he scored this season was a peach of a headed own goal. Many of the rest were very poor sitters. And I was told this guy was a box-to-bix midfielder...

    The season starts here! Seriously though, we've been woeful at times this season and the only statistic that matters is the league table. The Spurs game, especially the end, was a huge improvement but we're going to need to improve even further over entire matches because teams like City could punish you.

    Hiddink would be a brilliant replacement for Benitez. He's been extremely successful wherever he's gone, very experienced manager, likeable guy, speaks great English and some other languages, will attract big-name players, and has a European pedigree. I can't see why we shouldn't go for him, except for the fact that we're fucking skint.

    Wasn't complaining when he left but I'd have him back in a flash over most of the dross we have nowadays.

    Gerrard is only one of three players in the whole squad who can hold their head up high this season. He's been carrying an injury as well as the burden of the whole mediocre squad we've got.

    Aston Villa and City will have a game in hand. We have to play away at City. We're going to play Spurs without Gerrard, Torres and Benayoun. Lennon will be back and fresh. Do you honestly believe the dross we have playing is going to beat a hungry Tottenham team with a genuine top-4 forward line, while we have Eggface as our only out-and-out striker?

    At the beginning of the season I used to think he was fucking shite because his performances were fucking shite. Then after the Birmingham I thought he was just average, nowhere near good enough for Liverpool but a decent buy at 1.5 m. He had a terrible game yesterday but he has been marginally better than I had expected at the start of the season: a "shite" player as opposed to a "fooking shite" one.

    Or the next one. Or the next one. Or the one after that. Or the one after the one after that. Our season starts now! Or, in case we fail miserably again, our season starts in the next game! And so it goes. Thank God we're guaranteed fourth place because looking at that table I would've thought we were languishing in mid-table at the moment. Thank you Benitez.
