    Count me in. Since Kenny left I just feel it's time to 'reboot' the club. Fresh faces, fresh ideas and some new energy in the place. I am happy enough to be patient for a year or two because quite honestly the last 2-3 years have been a nightmare. For me Rogers > Martinez but I would not slit my wrist if it was Roberto.

    While I am not violently opposed to the idea of Benitez coming back under the right set up I do wander if some of us Liverpool fans are looking too much into the past and trying to relive some of the 'special' days we experienced. Having just gone through an uncomfortable sacking of the respectable King it seems unfathomable we would proceed to go back AGAIN and re-engage someone who was sacked only a few years back. Different circumstances I know but he left on very divided terms. I really think it's time we look forward and try and get some new ideas into our on-pitch management, as much a gamble as it is.

    This is fantasy land. As someone noted earlier every team has something to moan and bitch about. 38 games is a very healthy sample and the table will not lie. However if this thread makes you feel somehow better.. as you were.

    I must be the only one who wouldn't mind a Martinez appointment. Coaches good football, is young and seems a respectable mgr. I really think we should take a step back at this Club and look to the long term. We have gone through much pain last few years for a variety of reasons (ownership, bad appointments, transfer bungles etc). Yes, we need to remain ambitious but our seemingly chosen methods of jumping straight back up are not working!

    Are you serious? Gerrard was the only player that gave us something in a truly embarrassing first half and you think the slow Shelvey would have been more effective? We were clearly carrying two bags in that midfield with Spearing and Henderson. Steve can still help out when playing further forward but that ball was never getting past the half way line if he didn't drop deep.

    I'm beginning to feel some of our fans are in a time warp. Always looking back and trying relive the past. We have to move forward and take some risks. Don't see much wrong with a Martinez type appointment myself.

    Seems we are taking this ultra personally. He surely can't do much worse than Redknapp. But if he does take it the excuses will be lined up from day one. Nevermind that both have achieved fuckall in 'decades of mgt'. the inexplicable clamour from media and players for Redknapp is equally astonishing IMO.

    Football has really become about pussies and panzies. It's now all about drawing as many yellow cards from the opposition and exaggerating all forms of contact. Fans included. It has become sadly fashionable to show how little of a man you are. Is it the £$£$? A fucking pity!

    The argument that we just need someone to finish completely misses the point that our midfield scores fuckall and should rightly be contributing bucket loads of goals in the system we generally play.
