  1. I said the same thing on the offal and RAWK and got the same response. That what you get for belonging to multiple boards;)
  2. I think it's the wonderkid syndrome. a lot of those guys have been playing first team football from the age 16/17/18. So by the time they've reached the ages they should be at their peak they've already played 10 years in some of their cases. It's not only Brazilians Owen, Rooney and Torres I feel are all feeling the effects of too much teenage football. Some of you will say it's the injuries but players start becoming susceptible to injuries usually late in their careers. Torres was playing at 17 so he's already played 10 years worth of first team football. I think more care should be taken with younger footballers who have immense talent.
  3. I have to agree with Silverlining and Code as much as I like Lucas and his qualities I still think we need an energetic, dynamic terrier like dm a la Sissoko (pre eye injury) or a Masch. I just think it is too easy to get through our midfield at times. From reports it seems that Comolli likes M'Vila for that role and I can't see him arriving before summer, so maybe rather than buy a second choice player they're buying someone in Adam who has other qualities we lack and are getting him in asap whilst his price is reasonable.
  4. The game before, it was Sevilla vs someone, Jesus Navas was on fire. Would never come here but what a winger!!!!
  5. I understand that but his tactical ineptness is glaring. I mean come on I have no coaching experience whatsoever but even I know that the below would have done better against Wolves Reina Johnson Soto Agger/Skrtel Aurelio Kuyt Lucas Raul Maxi Gerrard Torres His redeeming qualities? I don't know, I guess he comes across as a nice fella who you probably could have a good conversation about football with.
  6. As highly rated as Sterling, Suso and Shelvey were why did they come here?
  7. Did anyone watch Sociedad vs Valencia? If so did Griezmann play and if he did how well did he do? Just wanted to know as we had been linked to him.
  8. Don't feel too bad he was alright in his first season.
  9. Same here, I can't be asked change. Actually I started at TIA who are quite good but I don't have as many users as say Here, RAWK and the Offal so you'd post something and wait hours for a reply, but there are good lads on there as there on all the forums.
  10. Am I wrong in thinking that most LFC fans belong to more than one fansite but usually frequent one more than the others? Like for instance I belong to RAWK, here, the Offal and YNWA.tv. Am I the only freak?
  11. Am I the only person who finds it weird when you watch a Youtube vid of a player we're linked to and then look at the comments there's already about ten saying 'welcome to Liverpool, YNWA'? Just checked out Boudebouz' youtube. I don't know why as I know it's just youtube and nothing can be gleaned from it but he does look good;) However we are lacking in so many areas so any player who's quick and skillful will look good to me.
  12. So basically a thread where everyone can display their utter and complete cuntishness
  13. The only big team he didn't do it against regularly was the Mancs. But that was because, and I think I heard Ferguson actually say that if you stopped McManaman you stop Liverpool. So he always used to make special provision for Macca. No one said he was as good as Gerrard but are making the comparison of how he carried the team in a similar fashion which he did. I think that is indesputable whether you hate him or love him. I think that whereas Fowler and Carra changed their allegiances from the bitters to us I think it galls some of our fans that Macca didn't.
  14. 33 mate. Yeah it's just that when you're a kid you have a rose tinted view of football and footballers.
  15. If I was doing a top 5 best liverpool players he'd definitely be in it however I said top 5 fave players which is a different thing. As good a players as they are/were I did not take to many of the players that came to proimence during the Houillier reign. The Owens, Carra, Gerrards, Murphys etc. I just didn't have the same depth of feeling for them. Maybe because I was older by the time those guys came along I was bit too old for the fanatical hero worship that kids do. I wanted to be John Barnes and I wanted Fowler to be my mate, usual kid stuff. Hope you get what I mean.
  16. We had the better bid but Russia had the trump card of never having hosted it before and after South Africa I think that was always going to hold sway over anything England could offer.
  17. If Russia win it I can understand as they've never had it before however if Spain/Iberia whatever get it then that is a bullshit decision as they had it in '82. What exactly does Fifa have against the UK? Is it down to the hooliganism in the 80s? Our teams are so popular around the world I just don't understand why the powers that be seem to have a problem with us. Any thoughts?
  18. That's a great way to describe him, literally was our saviour on so many occasions. And you just used to know if he wasn't playing we weren't scoring anything.
  19. He made me like Real for the duration he was there. The fans loved him too. His book about his time there is excellent. He's in my top 5 fave players along with Barnes Fowler Rush and Dalglish. He was brilliant never got enough credit domestically. A player of his quality would be worth a mint these days.
  20. Ex - fucking - actly!!!! Some people need to get a grip. Our demise in the nineties was way worse than this period and if I survived that I can damn sure survive this one. A walk in the fucking park in comparison, trust me on that one.
  21. It's the same on every frigging LFC forum at the moment mate. As the internet wasn't as widespread when Houillier got sacked it's hard to know if the fans were as split when he left but it certainly didn't feel as bad as this. I think it's all to do with the replacement when Ged left we got Rafa this time we got Roy which has definitely split us fans, if we would have gotten a Hiddink, Van Gaal or even a Deschamps maybe it wouldn't have been this bad. However I do believe for many supporters the idea of another foreign coach wasn't as appealling as a british one. Personally I don't care where the coach is from I just want him to be capable.
