  1. Haha ! Do you know what, its been a break in itself away from the UK media and not having it pumped into your ear, day in, day out. Apart from Sunak appearing on the daily news footage that scrolled on a screen in a lift, about Northern Ireland early on (I couldnt bring myself to look into it and my German isnt strong enough to deal with news), its been blissfull oblivion. Until a mate messaged me about Lineker on Friday
  2. Ive had two weeks in Germany and come back to this fucking shambles
  3. I wonder if Palestenian hospital staff are able to work over here.
  4. There are arguments that we are toothless enough.....
  5. Absolutely mate. When I was a youngster, I was never too interested by history, but more in what causes things to happen. I remember vividly, wondering how a population 'allowed' a movement like Nazism to sweep across a country. Sadly, the answers have long been revealed and replicated. This Tory government is not far removed from the Reich. It gets laughed at by gammon when I say as much in other places or talked down when I mention it. But there isnt much between them. Rwanda is the example. Look how many far right wanted planes full of asylum seekers as soon as this idea was hatched.
  6. First question in PMQ is preambled by a welcome to a delegation from Kyiv. Followed up by a Tory moaning about a well known hotel in his constituency cannot be used for any weddings/functions as housing asylum seekers. Welcome Ukraine, fuck off Brown people.
  7. The squad simply needs an overhaul. I say simply, but it runs deeper. If FSG have committed like they say they have in terms of sticking around, investment is required this summer. No getting around that, regardless of any other party coming in with any other funding. We tend to spend well when we do (Diaz and Jota, and I think Nunez and Gapko will ultimately prove so), but leaving key areas criminally under resourced (midfield, I am looking at you) is going to bite harder as it will cost more and there hasnt been gradual backing up and improving over the last few years. We have all said our piece over this time and again and I appreciate I am not adding anything new, but with Newcastle and now possibly the Scum potentially in positions to upgrade, we need to be equipped to deal. The fatigue amongst the place is going to take some shifting. The place needs to be lifted.
  8. This is the forum equivalent of eating strong cheese before bed
  9. Gullis is what happens when people fuck their sisters
  10. By no means perfect, but two 2-0 wins this week, especially as Worms has got the shite all giddy, and a Barcodes side thats obviously competing for Champions League, I would have snapped your hand off if offered Monday morning. We have a habit of finishing a season strongly (which seems odd as we have just gone over the half way mark and have at least a game in hand on teams around us). Need that Chelsea away game in the calendar pronto, before they kcik Potter out. No reason why that cant be played on a cup weekend given both teams are 'less busy;
  11. So, can we close this thread when Corbyn doesnt run as candidate (for whatever reason) at the next election ? Will that be enough for people to accept that he is finally gone ?

  13. I am not here to change views, because that is impossible, especially here.
  14. This is my stance. Never got any straight answers at local or national level (radio silence and a few social media blocks). This may be difficult for people to comprehend, as I have mentioned before, I live in North Bucks. Former speaker constituency but basically Tory when Bercow started and is now again a Tory seat. so I dont matter to the the Labour management because a thundercunt in a blue rosette will walk away with the seat here. I am a low level rabble rouser when asking what the fuck is going on. I am aware of more prominent Labour supporters in Liverpool and Manchester who have been censured for less. Geography, innit. So, when this all spikes up, there are people, like me, who are genuinely puzzled as to where this has come from. We didnt get a card with our membership packs to be an antisemite. There never seemed to be a feeling that this was a thing. We joined because we wanted better. We deserve better. Corbyn struck me as someone who could facilitate this. From how I recount it, since the comments or liking the picture of that mural, which everybody in the world should have known was antisemtic. Here is the thing. I didnt make any direct link. I am no expert on Jewish culture and I am certainly no art critic. I like what I like and this certainly isnt gonna be hanging on any wall here because its a grotesque. Any symbolism I could see was that the worlds wealth is held by a few undefined individuals propped up by the rest of the world, a significant number of which is in poverty. But lack of awareness then translates as antisemitism. Then you are on dangerous ground, because other elements then get bracketed which ultimately trivialises what antisemtism is. The media coverage was then a shitshow. You couldnt disseminate truth from smear. Attempts to do so (Labour files) are met with lukewarm response. In life, vindication usually happens well after the event and impact is limited because everyone has moved on. I am not saying Corbyn didnt help himself in situations, but by then it really didnt matter what he did. The broadside of it then serves the narrative that 'Labour are antisemitic' and this could be levelled at everybody. One of my most moving experiences in life was a visit to the concentration camp in Auschwitz, in 2008. Me and my friend were just leaving after a few hours on the site, taking in the horror and magnitude of the suffering that unfolded. A coachload of Israeli teens had disembarked as we were exiting. ABout 16-18 years old, all in tears as they were approaching the site, carrying flags and no doubt the memories of relatives they never got to meet. My friend, who has a very stoic demeanour, was choked, he rarely gives anything away from an emotional perspective. This stays with me, so when I am deemed antisemetic becuase of a party I was a member of, I take great exception. I have rambled now and I need to do some work. I am trying to put some emphasis on the frustration of not quite getting the situation.
  15. Retroactive continuity . I live in the south east. I make absolutely no difference at all.
  16. As I said before, country needs a bomb under it now. Its the only way we get out.
  17. I dont think Corbyn would stand against the Labour candidate as an independent. No doubt they will still talk about him when he is completely out of Westmonster The word 'cult' perhaps need to be bandied around for the current management as it was the previous, when factions of both would tell you otherwise. Still, the public gets what the public wants. They can all go and fuck themselves.
