  1. He had official accreditation, so if anyone's getting fired I suspect it would be the person that let that slip through the net.
  2. I thought I'd read earlier that the UK subsidies were in the form of repayable launch investment similar to what Airbus have used in the past. Whenever this has gone to the WTO with regards the Airbus loans it's always pretty much found in favour of Airbus, and some of Boeings loans have been found to be against WTO rules, so it's a bit simplistic to say we shouldn't be propping up failing industries when the US dont play by the rules, but expect everyone else to.
  3. When I was a kid I stuck one of those crossfire ball bearings down my ear. Fourth hospital we visited managed to get it out. My Mum missed her Sisters wedding as well taking me to various hospitals. Didn't go down too well, although I can still remember the pain of the device they finally managed to get it out with.
  4. Pissed myself the first time I saw this. Shirley Ghostman channels Lady Di. https://youtu.be/HhF9bsyqcCc
  5. It's a shame it doesn't explain why it's the most popular boys name. When we came back from France I had a Muslim neighbour, a proper one, full beard, prayer shed, full works. Anyway they had a little boy, so we did the obligatory visit with a card and present, and when we asked his name, the neighbour explained that all Muslim boys are named Mohamed, until they're a few weeks old, then the religious leaders will come and see where the stars were during the birth etc, and give them a choice of names. While he's telling me this the penny dropped as I'd seen an article in a paper about a year earlier that had the same frothing mongs going on about Muslim takeover etc.... We moved house not long after, and I bumped into him and his wife at the local leisure centre a few years later. He seemed genuinely surprised when I said hello, and remembered his and his wife's name. Oh, and they sent us a Christmas card as well.
  6. Why did the pie cross the road? Because he was meat and potato
  7. I saw somewhere that he actually did more Remain gigs than the pig fucker. I think his problem was that he was too honest saying the EU was a 7/10, but it was better to stay in and try to influence. Once remain lost it became an easy stick to beat him with, because he didn't sell it hard enough supposedly.
  8. Yeah I know! She was quite crafty as the reason she got me it was that she wanted one herself, but didn't have the bottle. So instead she kindly bought me one for my birthday, and let me be her guinea pig.
  9. The woman that did mine was telling me a story of a girl that had come in to have it done. Before they do it they go through your diet and stuff like that, and this girls diet basically consisted of potato waffles and cheese. So after they went to plunge her arse with the hose and all that came out was just an orange sludge.
  10. I had one about 8 years ago. My sister got it me as a birthday present! It's pretty strange, but you definitely feel a difference afterwards, although for a couple of hours afterwards it's like having the raging shits. The main thing I noticed on mine was the skin on my hands for about a month afterwards felt completely different, really soft like baby's skin.
  11. It doesn't stop me, but I'm more inclined to actually help, or donate something material as opposed to cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have this argument with Charity sellers quite often, especially ones to do with Armed Forces. Basically my view is by donating to these charities you're giving the government a free pass to skip their obligations, which we've usually paid through our taxes anyway. 13. Difference is Thatcher looked after the police so had them onside (for the miners strike as well). She's managed to piss off pretty much every facet of the emergency services, so I can't see many covering for her like they did Thatcher.
  14. The problem you have with Rico and tax is that at what point does he, or others get to that cut off point? What I mean by that is that he thinks he pays enough (which is fair enough), and would like to pay less. So let's say he gets a promotion in work, along with a decent pay rise, does he then start looking at legal but morally wrong ways of avoiding tax, or would he just continue to be pissed off about it? Unfortunately it seems a lot of people would go down the avoidance route, and it's one of a complex set of issues we have in society, where people cheating the welfare state are classed as scum, but tax avoidance is seen as something that anyone moneyed would do.
  15. I expect a lot of them thought they'd be unelectable and that would risk them losing their own seats.
  16. We were, unfortunately the mongs called it #projectfear and a high portion of people then decided to ignore it.
  17. It was pretty obvious that this would happen with Airbus, but you wouldn't believe the amount of thick cunts I work with that voted leave and are still tub thumping for a hard Brexit. Most of them are not far off retirement age surprise surprise, so again it looks like the selfish will spoil it for the rest of us.
  18. I don't think anyone wants to pay more tax, but personally I'd be happy to pay a bit more tax (I'm nowhere near the higher tax bracket), if it meant I wasn't getting emails from my daughters school asking for donations to make up for the shortfall in the school funding. I'm not saying your way is wrong or right, just different ways of looking at it.
  19. Seems unlikely when you put it like that. Cheers.
  20. I keep hearing this about Sinn Fein, and I'm not that clued up on NI politics, but would this be a circumstance that might make them reconsider?
  21. I heard on the radio today Labour won the first count by about 50 votes, and also the second by about 20. Just need them to find a box they didn't know about like in Amber Rudds recounts.
  22. Looks like two, assuming Labour get Kensington, which sounds likely.
  23. I agree with you totally on the Blair Labour government, Jack Straw was an absolute disgrace.
