  1. Damien Duff is a truly awesome player who can take on defenders and always works his socks off. If Newcastle go down I can see Rafa going after him and I would love for him ro replace Kewell, don´t know about his age though.
  2. Benítez would only hire an assistant who could actually teach him something about football. Not many of those, I reckon, but still. Paul Jewell? FFS
  3. My opinion is as a fan you must be patient. You must let Rafa work on the small details. He finally has a squad who he thinks is good enough and the heavy players in/out-traffic seems to be over (he´s said so himself anyway). He shouldn´t be made victim because he wanted his very own players. He must be allowed to develop the team as a unit. To do that, he must be allowed to work with the current players on a daily basis over a large period of time. Only then is it fair to judge him a success or a failure. This is what I think.
  4. Not Capello, it was Cruz´s comment about "a team like Liverpool".
  5. I agree, I want Carra to smack him to the ground. Fucking shocking comment.
  6. Creating 30 chances against a team who plays very deep and with 11 men behind the ball indicates the players are more dedicated than ever, IMO.
  7. He should stay because he is a proven league-title-winning manager.
  8. In four years time, Mr Benítez has changed the whole squad. That´s a time of rebuilding. The Mancs have been there and Arsenal have been there. The question is what you really want from Rafa. Did SAF and Wenger deliver these kind of trophies when they first came to their clubs? We have a world class manager, a manager who we can be proud of. I don´t know if that means something to you.
  9. In four years he´s changed the whole squad. Carra, Sami, Riise and Stevie was the only players good enough. How are we supposed to win everything when the players hardly know each other. Taggart and Wenger was given time, Rafa must too be given time. Now get behind the manager, he fucking deseserves it.
  10. He´s a manager and will want to build his own team for scratch. Can you fucking blame him for not wanting Diouf or fucking Cheyrou in his team? Remember where we were four years ago, I beg you. We didn´t have a future. Four years on we are feared all over Europe. Why would we want to throw that away? I´m so proud of having Rafa as our manager. If I actually do make it to Anfield one day I will run onto the pitch, get down on my knees and kiss his bare feet.
  11. 31 clear chances. How many did Barnsley have now? Sacking Rafa is the beginning to the end. Mark my words.
  12. He didn´t get Dani Alves because he didn´t have the funds, he´s also missed out on a few more of his top targets. The situation we are in has nothing to do with Rafa, it is up to the players to kick the ball into the net you know. Rafa can´t do that.
  13. The solution is not sacking Rafa. Anyone who thinks so know fuck all about this game we call football. Just take a look at the stats from today´s game. The solution is to give him better players. Missing 30 clear cut chances is just not normal.
  14. Xabi has been the worst player on the field, very slow. Sorry about the eggs, didn´t mean to comment on them.
  15. Very important to score a second as soon as possible. Last thing I want is a nervy ending, let´s score a few more and head into the Inter game with a bit of confidence.
  16. What about that comment from Redknapp about the players will never be able to form an understanding with each other because Rafa rotates, is he bloody serious? The players train togheter everyday, of course they will fucking form an understanding.
  17. Why do people forget Rafa has changed every player in the squad in three years time, the squad left to him by GH was a joke. The club is heading in the right direction.
  18. Rafa has changed the whole squad during his three-year spell here. Winning the Champions League and FA-cup iduring this time of rebuilding is an incredible achievement by Rafa, and the players of course. Just shut the fuck up and let the man fulfil his vision. He´s here for he long-term and we are lucky to have him.
  19. What Mourinho did at Chelsea was going for short term success. Too much was happening too fast, he never had a plan that would bring the club forward year by year. Now Chelsea are suffering from what he did over there - stuck with players who are willing to work only when they´re winning. You don´t think Rafa is the better manager? Let´s see him bring in David Villa and about three or four 20M-players, then we could actually compare the two.
