Mate...We don't have a festival when we give gifts of gold to each other. The only festival we have is in april called Vasakhi but we don't give gold out. Its only on weddings when you will get the girl's side give out gold rings to the the boys side. Hindu's celebrate diwali and their new year which is oct-nov time..don't know if they give gold out...Don't think so... We celebrate diwali too but don't give gold out.
