  1. I think Bridge was a good player and better than anything we've had recently but he hasnt been overly convincing the last couple of years when fit. Id like warnock back. Never wanted us to sell him as when he wasnt injured he was a good player. was a poor piece of business that on our part. If i didnt think martin o neil would be a cunt and make us have it price wise id like to see that happen. local lad coming back an all that plus he is a good fuckin player. if shopping abroad id make a move for Coentrao at benfica. We'll see, have to say this bridge to liverpool talk is building momentum and can see it happening. dont think would be a poor move
  2. Does come across a good lad with a good attitude hopefully he can stay injury free and if he does I can only see him being a great signing for us. He was winning chelsea player of the year two years ago wasnt he and we have took him on a free. fantastic piece of business
  3. Dont think cole would of wanted to play for rafa. Dont think rafa would have 'loved him' as cole wanted! ha Think gerrard prob would of gone As for the owners dont have a fuckin clue
  4. He prob knows a lot about degen from his knowledge of the country and also if my memory serves me right didnt degen have a fuckin shocker against fulham in recent years?!!! Maybe he cant get that out his mind ha
  5. Obviously there will be changes due to the number of games but what you dont want to see is players being rested/dropped after having great games/scoring goals as I think this has a negative impact on the confidence of a lot of players.
  6. To be perfectly honest I just read the quotes copied and pasted from Sky sports. Didnt know he wrote for them as neither read or buy it. Didnt even read that. I was focusing on the comments which were positive about Liverpool.
  7. Made up with this signing I have to say. Happiest i have been to hear us sign someone since torres joined but before that I have to admit it was kewell!! If he stays clear of injuries then you would really fancy him to be a fantastic player for us. No doubt everyone is made up - just reading that from carra "We have signed a top international player who has been really important for Chelsea. "A lot of clubs wanted to sign him but it is a real coup that he has chosen to come here and you have got to give the manager and the board a pat on the back for convincing him to come here. "Every supporter that I have spoken to is absolutely delighted and all the players are the same - it's given everyone a boost, just at the right time. "It has been a long summer and we have been in a transitional period but now the World Cup is out of the way, we can start to look forward again. "Joe is a player who has the ability to get supporters off their seats and I've no doubt he will do that here; the fact we have got him has given everyone a boost around the city. "It's good news again and, hopefully, there will be more to come. It's the kind of signing that we needed to make." Carragher has had many tussles with Cole over the years and the two know each other well from international duty with England. The vice-captain reckons the new boy will have a massive effect of Liverpool's chances next term. He said: "Joe is someone I have known for a long time from playing with England. He is a great lad to have around the squad, he mixes well and is a lively character - he's also an outstanding footballer. "In the modern game, you need forwards that can function in two or three different positions and Joe will do that, no problem at all. He can play on the right, through the middle or on the left."
  8. Give credit where credit is due and surely say when something is not right. Benitez is regularly acclaimed for his tactical knowledge but I have to say I never liked his man management skills an that is as an outsider looking in. He expects them all to be like fuckin robots and while it works for some you will not get the best out of some players with that attitude.
  9. I dont think hes said much wrong myself. I know the pundits often go over the top about us on a negative slant but too many people on here seem to be the opposite an act like everythins fine or maybe accept how things are going. We have lost nearly half the games we have played this season in all competitions and both the manager and the players deserve criticism in my opinion. Im not one of these who would give them shit at the match but away from the ground I think there is no point burying your fuckin head in the sand. We havent won a trophy for 3 years going along 4. Thats not good enough. We all know there has been outside issues but I dont think we can blame us not winning a trophy on these. Danny Murphy is a Liverpool fan an although he doesnt agree with Benitez selling him I dont think he is necessarily just saying this coz of that. If we dont win the europa I wonder at what point people accept that 4 years is an acceptable time frame to go without a trophy at Liverpool FC?
  10. If thats right apologies not been on here for a bit and didnt know. Regardless, I still think there are worse players who are given more of a chance.
  11. No wonder his businesses are going to fuckin shit. He's sat on his fuckin couch eating a pot noodle replyin to us lot.
  12. I know Babel isnt popular and a lot of my mates disagree with me on this one. But personally I think babel is a confidence player who needs a run of games in the team if you are to see anything near the best of him. I read since he jonied Liverpool he hasnt started 3 consecutive games for the club. I mean what the fuck is all that about? He has put in good performances but if he has a poor game after he is dropped straight away. I think he has much more potential than the likes of Riera and I would be tempted to give him a run of games at some point and if he doesnt do it then fair enough but in my opinion he has never had that. However I cant see Benitez doing this so it looks to me that the only reaon he hasnt been sold is because we dont think we will get the money to re-invest. But the fuckin hatred reserved for him by some is out of order and just fuckin hypocritical when the same people are giving others shit for criticising other players.
  13. I dont think you can blame Dalglish for the demise of Liverpool! There is no manager who isnt going to make mistakes however it is ridiculous to blame Dalglish for a 'demise'. Im assuming by demise we are talking about not winning the league. Who would have thought it 1990 we would still be looking for our 19th league title 20 years later? Cant fucking blame Dalglish for that. Souness obviously made massive mistakes and we went miles backwards under him but just looking at ourselves and not external factors (eg uniteds improvement etc) there have been have still been opportunities in the meantime to win the league that we have not taken. It appears whenever we have been close massive errors have been made. Under Roy Evans our inability to defend set pieces the year united beat us at anfield towards the end of the year. That season we could and probably should have won the league. If I remember rightly didnt we end up finshing 4th or something. I think coventry beat us at anfield scoring from a corner - Dion Dublin. Then under houllier after finishing second he signed diao diouf and cheyrou and we went backwards. You would probably have to say this summer the yanks have fucked us up aswell. After finishing second and the league winners losing their best player we were not backed in the market and you would have to say it is a massive missed opportunity. My concern being surely chelsea are going to get better if they have stability with ancelotti. Man city are going to spend more and more and become more of a force and I cant see it being too long before united sign a world class forward to complement rooney and replace ronaldo in a round about way. It will then be even harder wo win! But its fucking out of order to blame a man who brought us our last league for our demise!! Thank fuck Dalglish cant see that accusation. Id hate the man to think some fans hold him responsible for us not winning the league since
  14. Id agree with the general consensus that reina, johnson, benayoun and torres have played well. Even though torres ironically has banged in 10 goals shows how fuckin good he would be if free from injury.
  15. Sackin Rafa now would not achieve anything in my opinion. Any manager taking over him now would have their hands tied for the rest of the season in the respect that what could they possibly achieive at the moment that would be positive? we look like going out of the champs league (if it happens as it appears it will) and we are probably out of the prem league race also. We appear to be fighting for the FA cup unless our performances dramatically improve immediately or we consider being booted into the europa cup as some sort of consolation. Our best players are also injured or playing with injuries and the americans are not putting money in and yet refusing to accept this by spinning shit through PR men. I love dalglish for everything he achieved with the club although being 8 when we last won the league its fair to say unfortunately I was probably born a bit too late to recall it all. However I would hate to see someone come in at the moment and be judged on circumstances out of their control. Leave Rafa till the summer and re-asses the situation then I think
  16. I have to admit there have been occasions when I have questioned rafa and some of them lingering doubts havent gone away. Im not one of these who thinks the sun shines out of his arse however.. it seems common sense to me that although the team are havin nothin short of a fuckin nightmare at the min sacking him would achieve nothing. I cant think of any obvious top candidate wo would want to manage us in the current climate, with an expectation of winning the league when the americans are clearly unwilling to back us financially and are main rivals are only going to strengthen. This was the obvious fuckin year for us to be backed in the market. None of our rivals improved over the summer and the leagues best team lost arguably the best player in the world or one of the top couple. But unfortunately we were not backed and half our team are underperfoming at an alarming level. We may aswell wait till the summer. If we fail to make the top 4 then he will be a gonna. the big decisions will come if we scrape the top 4 an win nothing again
  17. I think its a good article. I too, like listening to Hansen on Liverpool. He obviously has a love of the club but he isnt too biased in his comments to not point out our weaknesses. I dont think his tipping of us prior to the season starting where as ridiculous as it would now seem. On face value we should still have a lot more points on the board than we currently have. It cant just be blamed on injuries to torres/gerrard and alonso going. Its quite clear that the majority of our side is under-performing. Its almost unbelievable that come november we could be competing for the fa cup - a trophy we havent even started playing in yet.
  18. Especially if the blue shite have agreed a deal for steven taylor for 6million
  19. Not been able to understand why we havent been linked with campbell? Seems the obvious choice to me. Could have had michael owen and sol campbell on free transfers. Might not be the players they were but for a club that is apprently skint I feel we would have been better off with these players rather than the alternatives - voranin and this guy.
  20. Them fucking americans have well and truly took the piss out of us. Know its being said a million times but how have the advisors/accountants etc give david moores the thumbs up to sell to these fuckin horrible lying cheating twats!!! People blame david moores and while Im not happy about his decision I genuinely dont think he thought anything like this would happen. I dont know the guy but everyone connected with the club seems to speak highly about him and say he loves the club. I agree with earlier comments that in my opinion kelly can be 4th choice centre back. In a couple of weeks the others will be back and If this greek lad cant cut it in scotland I fucking dread to think how he will get on in the premier league. Plus I would rather see a young lad given a chance than another mediocre foreigner. Nobody wants to be negative for the sake of it but anybody who is optimistic about this signing I take my fuckin hat off to. If I was benitez I would come out and say what the financial situation is if its true he has no money to spend which this signing would indicate. It might take something like that to cause mass protests and try to force these lying bastards out the club.
  21. Why not get sol campbell if we want a cheap centre back to cover and play all of about 15 games this season?? Under no circumstances whatsoever would I want that fuckin cunt lucas neil at this club. But seeN we have been linked with steven taylor in the newcastle chronicle. I like him but just anticipate problems when in 3 weeks the other 3 are back!! But taylor is class above the yard dogs at stoke and hull that we have been linked with
  22. I would have thought he would have said if thats all he had... surely??
  23. I dont know buts its amusing. Might be whoever started voromania
