1. I think so, I had to log on to even read the site today.
2. This may seem odd of me to say, but I really hope he gets the opportunity to go back to Atletico Madrid down the line, and in some capacity, lead them to success. For one, it'd be great to see them topple the giants of La Liga, if even for one year, and you just know it'd mean the world to him. After all the joy he's given us, and will continue to give us, he deserves to give be able to give some joy to his home club in the end.
3. In fairness, half our pitching staff, and starters are from our farm system.
4. 1) Torres 2) Kuyt 3) Carragher, Rough start for the back, but I thought he put in one of his best halves of the season.
5. If, his movement is as intelligent and effective as advertised, I don't think he'll have as much trouble adapting as some of the other Italian players who have come over.
6. This is something that bothers me, no one on our team seems to be able to judge the flight of the ball on corners. It's ridiculous. For their goal, we had Torres, Gerrard, Carragher, and Skrtel all right there, and every single one of them misjudged the flight. It's embarrassing.
7. Don't think he's past it, but he's obviously a bit off the pace to start the season. Think he's just taking a bit longer to get to full fitness, which is understandable at his age. I think he'll be back to his best in about a month, and continue to play well until the end of the season. He wasn't helped by Skrtel who also played poorly today.
8. Benitez is quoted as saying Aquilani is "close to being involved in full training", which Sky is speculating to mean in the next few weeks. That would be nice. Rafa won't risk Agger Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed he will not take any risks with Daniel Agger's fitness. Agger is close to returning to action after undergoing a minor back operation last month. The Dane has yet to feature this season due to the problem, but Benitez believes the classy central defender could be back in action next week. Liverpool's injury problems are easing with Fabio Aurelio making his first appearance of the campaign as a late substitute against Debrecen in midweek and other long-term absentee Alberto Aquilani set to start training in the next few weeks. "Aurelio is now ready for a comeback, Mascherano is also over his problem while Danny Agger is very close to a return and (Alberto) Aquilani is also getting close to being involved in full training," said Benitez. "When the majority of our squad are fit, we can manage games with more confidence. "Agger is a risk, he could play now, but he has been out for a long time and we have to be careful with him. But I believe that next week he could be available."
9. Right? Spain is Fucking Awesome!!!!!
10. It would be an important point if Benitez had not already said that when Aquilani gets healthy, the midfield will be him and Lucas or Mascherano. I'm sure he was hoping that Lucas and Masch would be able to hold down the fort until then, it just hasn't worked out that way.
11. Reminded me of this.
12. It's the lead singer from Coheed and Cambria.
13. Are you in Oklamhoma/Nebraska/Kansas?
14. Call ahead to verify your reservation if you can. I used a similar site to book a small apartment, and they lost my reservation. We had to stay in some shit hostel for the night. Not fun when all you want to do is sex up the lady friend.
15. Catalonias Ramblas Stayed a few nights in this place. Nice clean rooms, quiet (unless you we staying next door to me and my lass), and great location. Really close to the metro, Gothic quarter, and Las Ramblas. Also, the shower was fucking huge. Shower sex becomes the Shower Fucking Olympics when you have a shower that big. God that was a great the days.
16. As a side note, I read an interview from Benitez where he discussed Aquilani's attributes, and Benitez basically said that he saw the midfield as Aquilani playing between Gerrard and masch or Lucas. I hope that Aquilani's movement is as god as everything the pros are saying. If so, he's exactly the type of midfielder we needed to replace Alonso with. Now if we can get him healthy and keep him that way.
17. I said in preseason that his tackling had improved. I'm glad that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. One thing that filled me with some hope of him coming good tonight... He looked passionate, he argued calls and looked angered at times. Last season some of his biggest critics cited his overly calm and mellow attitude as something that bothered them. Tonight we saw some passion, and it was a welcome surprise. Still a long way to go, but if he can maintain this level for most of the year, I'm sure most will be a lot less anxious to see him gone.
18. Where in California are you from? I've got family in Long Beach and Monterrey.
