  1. Would it be possible for there to be some form of cooperation between TLW, RAOTL, TIA, RAWK etc just to get rid of the owners? Surely there are one or two things that we could agree on - I'm not talking 'new politics' forget what the fuck you said last week, change your mind that those from RAWK are all repressed bell ends up their own arse or TLW all all angry rebels without a cause or a job, I'm not saying sell your soul to the devil, pretend your mates with someone you can't stand because we all went to public school and experimenyted with homosexulaity type cooperation but some basic agreement on the key issues - everybody should know the owners are shafting the club, everybody should want the owners out - how or what to do with that cooperation I've no idea, I dont even know how to do a poll ffs and it needs people cleverer than me to figure that out but is there any real reason why fan sites couldn't come together if there's a chnace it might help get rid of the two parasites?
  2. first day after the end of the season ffs love the idea that the owners aren't the worst thing at the club but we can't afford to sack Benitez. Why can't we afford to sack Benitez? That'll be because of the debt that the owners put us in wouldn't it? the fact the two leeches have sucked 200million out of the club without putting a dime back in - that may be a clue as to why we've struggled since those twats took over, maybe that would explain why our bench couldn't make a championship side but our first 11 is world class? but if you'd rather study the body language of a player than accept you've been played by the two lying cheating bastards in charge, whose every word has been a lie then I guess you are stupid enough to believe every blue nose rumour they care to spread Benitez may have had a bust up with Gerrard I fuckin hope so after such a shit season from both of them but they aren't the problem the two wankers in charge are and their laughing at anybody who deflects the anger away from them
  3. I post on here and rawk - neither that much luckily for everyone but when the club is up to it nose in shit bickering about the quality of one site or another seems a bit fucking pointless - whatever the differences I dont think there's any doubt that everybody supports Liverpool and that the two twats who own the club dont isn't this a time for actually putting differences aside and working togather to get rid of the two bastards - a couple of lads on here have a made a difference - but without going all hormonal isn't it time for everybody to do what they can - slagging another site, or saying they dont speak for me aint really the way is it - Benitez may or may not be rubbish thats opinion - what is fact is the two leeches in charge are sucking the club dry.. try this originated on rawk I believe YouTube - Who stole the soul.wmv
  4. are you sure of this? I thought this was the 120m they were told to put down last summer to reduce the debt from £357m? We were told this had to be in terms of bonds, cash and guarantees and not another loan??
  5. No he's being slagged because people dont like him and this is just an excuse -
  6. what about if both stories are correct what if broughton e-mailed rafa two meetings which clashed with other meetings - broughton's a busy man - the windows of opportunity wouldn't be great for someone who can dedicate a whole day a week to lFC - Benitez would have to dcline - if you do that on Outlook you cancel a meeting then all teh school girl hysterics and conspiracy theories on here are all just bollocks - with those who dislike Benitez thinking he's a machiavellian twat and those who support him thinking broughton's a cunning bastard playing the media - when actually its just normal everyday business - I cancelled 4 meetings today - all of which I've rescheduled Every litle thing and most on here are played like a guitar - jumping to the media's tune - too psyched and too desparate for any litttle piece of information the benitez politiking is a joke when everything nuance is analysed from a million angles all by people who know fuck all about what happened - read back through this thread - its bleedin ridiculous given nobody has a clue what did or didn't happen.
  7. This is exactly the type of speculative, nod nod wink wink bollocks that should be hung out to dry. no facts, no genuine information just leading supporters by the nose to get a reaction - picking on sensitive subjects that are bound to get supporters interest
  8. something I'm struggling with but dont know the right words how can we support the lads on the pitch when their success means the two cancers take more out of the club and are more likely to stay dont get me wrong I want us to win every game, I even went to the europa semi and was hoarse for days afterwards but there is something that doesn't sit right benitez's poor performance and that of the players isn't really important but its depressed the hell out of me all season - there's a confusion here that I can't get me head around hicks and gillet have taken 200m out of the club and put nothing but bile back in - they will continue to suck the club dry - supporting the team in those circumstances - seems like its counter productive - giving them ticket money - 80% plus of that going into their pockets seems counter productive if benitez goes will it change anything - we'd have another manager in who might 'motivate' the players but to do what - succeed and the two yanks take more money - the transfer budget isn't going to grow - they wont even acommit to player sales going back into teh club - they didn't last year and the transfer budget was scrapped as a down payment for debt the anger against benitez is easy - blaming him is easy - he is not the most likeable character is he - blaming the players is easy they are the obvious targets for under performance but they are just puppets of the owners - gthe two leeches have taken 200m out of the club and put nothing in but we just focus on whats in front of us.
  9. But there are 50 threads slagging off benitez and none on the owners. benitez board room politics compared with being screwed over by the cancers and you think the perspective is right? 200m in interest and fees and they haven't even touched paying off their loan, thats not the clubs thats theirs for buying the club and the main concern is rafa and juventus? The anger should be concentrated on the two leeches - sucking the club dry before they move on somewhere else - benitez has been atrocious this season but it pales into insignificance next to what those two twats are up to most on here think a couple of signings and a new manager and everything is ok - really? bring a new manager in and what is the expectation - no investment, best players leaving, freebies and youngsters brought in and a new manager who knows the owners will be gone in 12months - recipe for success if ever there was one.
  10. the angriest site around and most of it directed in the wrong bleedin direction the two yanks take £200milion out of the club in interest, arrangement fee's, 'enabling works(remember them?) , expenses, designs and redesigns and most of you are just arsed about whether a fucking italian international fullback was up to snuff the idea that benitez's playing politics is to blame and not the lying cheating bastards in charge would be laughable if so many didn't believe it hicks's motto is dont give a sucker an even break and you lot bury your heads in the sand and concentrate on exactly what the twat wants you to concentrate on - sure when benitez leaves everything in the garden will be great, there will be no need for the new manager to hassle the owners, they'll give him everything they promised him, we'll have money coming out of our ears and everything will be sweetness and light hodgson will calm everybody down and he'll get the best from the players - we'll get 6th next year no danger and that'll pay the cancers another 30 million and we may be able to get 7th the year after and then be grateful for 8th, maybe pick up a league cup some deluded fools dream slag off Benitez for boardroom battles and then want Mourinho ffs benitez isn't important in the grand scheme of things - the club is and ignoring the two leeches and fucking around with one manager or another wont make the slightest bleedin difference
  11. again with the transfer spending bollocks - united have outspent Liverpool in wages by 20m + a year for a decade plus - Chelsea have outspent Liverpool in wages by even more over the last 5 years however much benitez has or has not spent on transfers the difference in spend on players in favour of the glory boys is enormous certainly in the hundreds of millions just comparing transfer fees is ridiculous it takes no account of home grown players or free transfers, no account of the hikes in wages that the successful transfers demand if they aren't going to leave studies have show that wages are 6 times more significant in determining where you'll finish than fees and that doesn't mean just pay your players more the amount players are paid is determined by market forces - they get roughly the right rate for the quality of player they are. If they're paid too much the club try to ship them out, if they are paid too little they demand more or leave.
  12. shit that was a magpie - I thought it was the new 6th official or however many they have nowadays
  13. distinct possibility whoever plays left back is going to get booked - put masch or carra at full back and its almost inevitable I think both will be one booking away from a suspension - ok we've still got to win first but something to think about rafa is supposed to have asked mcmahon to give mavinga some games at left back how far away is aurelio from returning? Surprised how much Benfica played it in the air - especially the long throws - odd that Kyrgiakos didn't play -
  14. Think this thread sums up the confusion around fans about what the hell is happening at the club. Finishing outside the CL will allegedly cost the club £25m. That £25m has to be found from somewhere to balance the books. The most obvious place is player sales and no transfer budget. So in terms of on the pitch its bad news and thats without how it affects the 'star names'. But it also reduces the value of the club and it puts greater pressure on the yanks repaying their debt. The club still has the same ‘potential’ – its still the 2nd most supported in the world, its still got the opportunity to build a money making stadium and turn a huge profit but the cost of buying it is reduced, making it more attractive to buy and increasing the pressure on the parasites to sell. They can’t afford the loans and they have to leave their own money in the club longer than they want to. Bidders could be holding fire on buying because they can get a better and cheaper deal in 3 months time if we don’t make 4th. The other benefit would be it may actually motivate the great unwashed to get off their arses and fight against the owners instead of burying their heads in the sand and pretending the club isn’t being gang raped right in front of them. I could be wrong on this though because there are still some who’d rather blame the manager or the left back rather than face the fact that the owners are ripping the soul from the club.
  15. Dont think you need to be a rafapologist to see the outright bias in the article i liked these two bits especially the cut price full back rafa plucked from obscurity and who was frequently criticised for not getting forward and who has wanted to get back to spain for two years was the better option - to the attacking fullback that pre-season the same pundits said was yet another 'final piece of the jigsaw' - who'd have thunk it. Last years system which almost won the title was the players system and the manager has gone and undermined it, dognabit... plenty of stuff rafa can be shredded for without the need to make crap like this up.
  16. christ three replies none of which actually read the whole post....... You are commparing Ferguson now with a manager who's record is probably better than Fergusons a year before his first english title........... ferguson who is the epitomy of flexibility and doesn't have a stubborn bone in his body, who never alienated anybody in his life and who finished 12th (i think) in one season with United - yep no comparisons at all there lad. what straws? I'm not claiming benitez is ferguson - all I was asking was what the hell changed at united to turn them from underachievers with the fans denmanding ferguson's head to champions? did ferguson change his style or his luck, was it something completely outside of ferguson, was it the competiton going backwards - something changed them from a club in exactly the same state as ours is now to successful champions. the one thing it wasn't was a change in manager, or if it was it took him years to implement that change and if it wasn't that what was it?
  17. said with profound faith and absolutely no credibility Benitez is still 2 years younger than Ferguson was when he won his first man united title and has won more with Liverpool in his first 5 years than Ferguson did with United Benitez had won 2 titles and the uefa cup with an unfavoured team before arriving whereas Ferguson had won 3 and the uefa cup - your right any comparisons are ridiculous. Imagine if Benitez moved to Madrid at the end of the season any chance that he could dominate that league for 20 years especially if Barcelona imploded and they fell off their current perch? besides which none of it was my point - the point was what the fuck happened at united or with their competition that changed them from perenial underachievers to champions - it wasn't a change of manager or if it was it took 6 years to achieve
  18. Man Utd in the 70's and 80's had the money to compete they consistently failed to do it, why? They would play well against big teams, they'd win the odd cup, they had some of the best players in the league - they carried a huge expectation of success and they failed and were often shit against no mark teams - they could play 'attractive football' and at other times look abysmal. they changed their manager frequently and it made no difference. Ferguson arrived and made no outward difference for 5 years, the fans wanted him gone, they'd had enough of expensive failures and shite (losing)football and their biggest rivals just kept winning everything - it was the only thing that made sense - then something changed - either at the club or at other clubs. Many put it down to winning a cup..... I'd agree there is something wrong at our club, its stunk all season, it stank in pre-season and it still stinks now - maybe the fact we haven't won anything has shredded the confidence, maybe knowing we should have won it last year everybody gave up this, i dont know - without knowing whats wrong I dont know how to fix it. What I'd like to see though is for Benitez to learn from his mistakes - he's still a relatively young bloke - if he's appalled at the players attitude, at the football we are playing, to do something about it, make us a team with a purpose - drop those who need dropping, kick those who need it up the arse, put his arm around others - manage the bleedin situation before we bleed out - we are just drifting and have been since the season started. It has the feel of a season were the players or the manager decided it was over before it started.
  19. The better your reactions or at least the more you trust them, the longer you can wait and the better chance you have. Drives me nuts when pro keepers sell themselves early, especially on pens, glory hunting dicks. Takes a lot more bottle to just stand there and wait and its a lot more effective imo but it can make you look shit if you don't do some stupid dive, far better for your ego to look good hurling the wrong way. What I did used to do was pick a way to dive and then if it went that way I'd go for it in a big way, I felt like I was almost wired to dive that way - if it went the other way I just did what I could - either way I waited for the strike - if the lad hits it in the right spot at pace you aint got much chance anyway - but as the rest of this thread shows how often is that - saved more pens than I let in. Don't know whats coached these days though on striking the ball I think all of it can be coached and improved but some people have more natural timing and technique than others under pressure your natural instinct will dominate - all training can do is help with that dont think 'power' has an awful lot to do with muscle or back lift it's more about timing by the looks of it the last place the modern ball is going to end up is where you aim
  20. What we'd like to do and what the players want to do could be seriously different this summer throw in tweedele dum and tweedle dee and what we should do and what we can do may be a million miles apart. Then there's what the hell happens about the CL and even europe. Masch, Benayoun, Babel, Reira, Aurelio, Carvalieri have all in the past been linked with leaving and thats ignoring what I hope is nonsense about Torres and Gerrard. Another issue would be for the kids - the likes of Kelly, Ayala, Darby, Spearing, Pacheco even Gulacsi are all going to need games (and not 1 or 2 sub appearances or games in dead CL games) if they are going to develop. If not they need to be loaned out or sold. Think its a difficult balancing act because none of them have had enough games to be able to say whether they are good enough. Promoting the kids into the squad would be a winner for the owners but so would selling off players like Nemeth and San Jose. More of them should have been sent out on loan imo. If Babel somehow turns his game around and makes himself an option on the left and up front then who we need changes. If Pacheco proves he can play off the striker then the need for that option goes away - there are enough games left to stake a claim for next year but they are all high pressure games were its going to be hard for rafa to take the risks he should if he wants to find out about them. Another kid who may be banging on the door next season would be Mavinga at left back. and as well as all that we have Aquilani........ Having said all that we need a fast, clever, left winger, a left back, a mobile centre half who's good in the air, and we need another option up front. 4.
  21. This seems very one sided - introducing young kids too early could just as easily shred their confidence as build it up. Increasing the expectation on young players could stop their development completely. Reserve team football is light years away from the required standard. He introduced the likes of Hobbs only to see him fail. He's tried youngsters regularly in the league cup without any great success. He's loaned out others only to see them stumble despite good reputations. Insua for all his talent has been poor defensively and cost us several goals likewise Ngog's learning curve has been vast. Perhaps part of the assessment of the younger players is seeing how they react to issues like being with the first team squad in preseason and then back to the stiffs. Perhaps part of developing kids is to keep their feet on the floor, not raise their hopesmaking them good men not just good footballers. Perhaps training with the first team is a more important aspect of their development than first team appearances and it allows a more complete assessment of their readiness for first team action. Imagine the demands on Pacheco if he started against Unirea and had a blinder. Fans would only see what could be and not what is. This season Ayala, Darby, Kelly, Spearing, Eccleston and Pacheco have all featured and are all training with the first team
  22. and I didn't think you liked him, the reserves and the academy do have a new life to them dont they - very perceptive of you to pick that up after such a limited time for him to be in charge most people would just think 6 months in youth development is 4 and half years too early to judge but well done
  23. happens all the time its called 'interpretation' however if as stated he knew SOS would publish what he said it becomes suicide rather than manslaughter
  24. if this is somebody being 'savvy' its a new one on me - if there was an agreement that the minutes needed to be agreed I'd say SOS are completely bang out of order, totally unprofessional and have potentially stitched up somebody who could actually have been an ally, the 'duty to the members to tell the truth' is incredibly naive. some of those comments are suicide notes if he is actually employed by G&H, no way would his position be tenable, he's given away any negotiating position and undermined his employers reputation. His only options are denial and to accuse SOS of making it up, confirmation thats he's an RBS appointment or resignation.
