By the time Rafa hangs up his managerial boots, I think he will be regarded in a different league to Wenger. Wenger is a great manager. But I can see Rafa winning atleast another 3-4 champions leagues ( if not with us then definitely with Madrid). I believe Rafa will build a team to equal Sacchi's Milan and will be considered along that lines. Irrespective of how he performs in the domestic competitions, he will retire a legend due to his european performances.

Watched it last nite.Stunning movie. Easily one the best action flicks I have seen in recent times.Matt Damon's performance as Jason Bourne will be remembered as the one of the legendary action movie performances.

As long as Liverpool consistently perform well in the champions league,I dont think Rafa Benitez will be sacked. If we regularly reach the latter stages of the champs league, it means lot of money for the club.And I dont think there are too many available managers out there who are as much of a guarantee of a good champs league campaing as Benitez is. The fans may want the league,but I think the management will be reasonably happy with a some success in the champs league.

They got Davids on a free.All in all they spent around 40-45 million.Sold of all the deadwood transformed the side into one of the best in Europe within a year.Add Messi and Iniesta to that mix from their excellent scouting. That is the level of spending we are expecting.I am pretty sure if Rafa is given around 45 he will be able to transform this team into one of the best in Europe.

I think Zaragoza have the option of buying Milito for some ridiculously low fee 4 or 5 million and have exercised that option.

His release clause was nearly 40 million pounds/euros( dunno which one) earlier and that may explain Rafa's not being interested. Rafa may rate him but not as a 40 million player.Last year when he signed a contract extension the release clause was bought down to 24 or 27 million( i am not sure which one but i remember these two numbers being bandied around). With the prices being asked for other attacking players( strikers and wingers) - Malouda 17m,Bent 18 m, Rafa might view Torres more favourably now.

No way Wearethebest Didnt they sack Capello/Heynckes/DelBosque on the charge that they won only one of the league or the champs league and not both. I think they sacked Capello on the charge that the fans did not like the football last time.

Agree mate .Have to admire their chairman. He generated approximated 50 million from the sales of Julio Baptista,Reyes and Ramos when all of them were nothing but potential and had less than one very good season.
