  1. Strange that. Spurs have no manager, we have Rodgers who brought him to the country and who he is supposedly very close to, yet we still can't attract him to the club. Worrying indeed.
  2. Absolutely tragic news. 23, I'm 24 and I can't even comprehend what Miki and his family have suffered. Rest in Peace Miki lad, god bless.
  3. The pair of them won't be going anywhere.
  4. Henry's quotes last week suggested that the club would be all over it of it wasn't for the clear resentment of the idea from supporters. He spoke of the council funding a stadium being the ideal scenario.
  5. Totally agree. The disrespect to this tournament winds me up. Ye, it isn't the CL and before the fall of the past 3 years we where spoilt with CL success for 5 years. But I don't think that sitting out last season will do us any harm as fans. Having no European football was fucking shit. I went to the 2011 Europa Final in Dublin and the atmosphere in the few days we where there was boss. A trip to Amsterdam for a final would be something else so I for one hope we go ad far as we can. It's a tournament valued very highly on the continent, but with the massive 'top 4' obsession in this country it's been massively devalued here, wrongly so.
  6. To be honest I never paid any attention to any of his work as I find no value in reading the Daily Star. You'd get more intellect reading the Beano or The Hungry Catterpillar. The comments I saw from him on twitter were cuntish particularly around the time of the Suarez case. However on a human level it's absolutely tragic for a feller to lose his life at that age, particularly when he's leaving a wife and young son behind. Really horrible that that young lad will grow up without his dad. Thoughts with his family if nothing else.
  7. I reckon West Brom (A) Manchester City (H) Arsenal (H) Sunderland (A) Manchester United (H) When are the fixtures released?
  8. We have to play every one at some stage anyway so I don't know why people get too upset with how the fixtures turn out. On paper it's a tough start but our form for as long back as I can remember shows that it's the bigger sides we play well against and the dross where we struggle, so on that basis we could well make a dream start!
  9. Delighted for Big Andy. He was fucking boss tonight and it shouldn't be taken for granted what a phenomenal header that was. Stevie's cross was something else too, but Andy met it with so much power that the keeper had no chance. It wasn't just the goal though. He won everything and made some vital headers in his own box. He was boss and long may it continue. As Shearer said, give him the right service and he is simply unplayable in the air. As someone who has always backed him even through the baron spell I'm made up that we are finally seeing glimpses of the absolute beast of a player he has the potential to be. Really hope England do well in this. As much as I'd be happy to see Stevie fuck the whole lot of it off, he won't and it clearly means the world for him. He has been finally given the captaincy about 5 years later than he should have been, and you can see him out there tonight how much it means to him. He is the leader now, and I'd be fucking delighted and proud as hell to see him go down in history as the man to skipper England to some success. It's a massive long shot still but I actually think England will go far. Don't know why just a feeling I have. Stevie deserves it.
  10. Fair play tonight. Subs came on at the right time and changed the game for him. I actually reckon England will make at least the semis providing they avoid Spain in the quarters. I'd be made up for Stevie as well.
  11. Where have I said I feel sorry for him? My point is it has been made plainly clear since the end of his first season that he isn't going to have a future here. He isn't doing an Itandje and sitting on his contract, he is trying to play football. I don't for one second pity the bloke but I don't see how he is a cunt either.
  12. Exactly. He has came back and it's been clear since his first season that neither Roy or Kenny were going to give him a chance beyond pre season so he has gone out on loan to play football. That isn't his fault. Last summer we signed Adam+Henderson to play CM when Aquilani would have done no worse. Poulsen the summer before. We don't want him, he wants to leave and he wants to play football, and he wants to do that ASAP. How the fuck that makes him a cheeky cunt I don't know.
  13. Why is he a cheeky cunt? I blame the club for signing him, giving him the contract, and sending him out on these Micky mouse loan deals with no sale at the end of it and us paying his wages in the process. Aquilani has no loyalty to us and why should he.
  14. Sometimes listen to the breakfast show when I'm in work and Alan Brazil absolutely hammers the cunt and pretty much rips apart everything he says and every misinformed opinion that he holds. Daily Star on legs is a perfect description of him.
  15. The Moose off Talksport is an absolute fraud. He constantly spouts crap and passes if off as cast iron information. His source is probably caughtoffside.com or Fat Dunc.
  16. Levy is a shrewd feller. No way he won't have something up his sleeve. Hilarious watching all of his southern media gobshite stooges flapping about in outrage. Some absolute cunt from the mirror has just said Levy is as bad as the Venkys.
  17. There is no way on this earth Arry will forego a wedge in compo from Levy by walking of his own accord. He will make sure he is pushed.
  18. Rafa would be boss at Spurs. Looks like a perfect match for him, rather like when he took us in 2004 but with a far better foundation to build on as Spurs already have a really good squad. He will get money to spend and won't get sacked if he doesn't finish top 2 in his first season. Really think he'd be perfect for Spurs.
  19. I'd we value him then I think we would. He had become a key member of the first team and you have to pay the going rate. Given that Carra as a squad player is on 90k, as well as Dirk/Maxi who are/were on similar, 100k for your main central defender at the peak of his career isn't too extreme these days.
  20. I'm not doubting that he has had massive injury issues, merely pointing out that last season only broken ribs kept him out for a prolonged period of time. That's promising for the future surely.
  21. Agger had one injury last season, that being broken ribs which can happen to anyone. Touch wood it looks like he may have his injury problems behind him. Skrtel and Agger are two of our best players and possibly the only positive to come from last season. You do not sell your best players, strengthening a rival in the process.
  22. I thought that Ukrainian lad up top next to Shevchenko could do a job for us. Is he available?
  23. Apparently in for Kalou. Utter shite, I seriously hope not.
  24. I'd be quite happy to keep Charlie Adam providing he is used how he should have been from the start, as a squad player. First half of last season with Lucas next to him I thought he did quite well. Struggled massively when we lost Lucas, but so did the whole team.
