  1. @redarmyfanzine: A lot of noise being made of another announcement tomorrow, talk of OT renaming being being announced, seriously hope not #mu RvP a great way of burying the bad news if that's the case.
  2. @duncanjenkinsFC: tello, its sahin your looking for. #lfc
  3. Agger is class and pivotal to the way we want to play and the spine of our team. You do not sell your best players. No matter what figure you bring in you have to replace someone who is important to us. That seldom happens were modern day Liverpool are concerned. What's the point of having 20m in the bank but a massive hole in the defence, the task of finding a replacement, and the inevitable risk of overpaying for a substandard player because clubs know we have a wedge. City, the champions, want Agger because he is class. If he wasnt they wouldn't want him. We are supposedly trying to close the gap on City but weakening ourselves and strengthening them in the process will not have us doing that. When will people learn?
  4. You are one sad, boring, tedious fucking cunt.
  5. Cancelled their pre season tour to Indonesia. Big Gay Bill has probably just realised that Ryanair don't fly long haul.
  6. 10m I didn't say everyone with doubts about the potential signing is a hysterical queen. I'm talking about the posts claiming he is little more than a signing by the board, a cunt or whatever else he has been called. G Richards states a balanced post with valid and thought out reasons why there could be sense in signing Dempsey. What's annoying me is this underlying tone I read in some posts that FSG are Hicks and Gillett II, on a mission to run us in to the ground. I'm not saying we should be blindly optimistic but it's ok to have a bit of faith in them. At the very least they'll be wanting what's best for the club, success, increasing the value of their investment. I understand the comparisons with Adam but don't really agree with them. Demspey has been around the division for a few years now. Yes his goal scoring record last season was a lot better than previous but he was playing in a much more advanced role than he had before. And last summer FSG backed the manager handsomely. They trusted the managers judgement and sanctioned the signings which have gone on to cost Dalglish/Commoli their jobs. Some key senior players have departed this summer, a few still may follow them out the door. Borini and Demspey won't be the sum total of our dealings this window.
  7. And Satansmutt makes a very good point. Why would Rodgers not 'overpay' for GS, a young player with potential, but then sanction a wedge being spent on a 29year old in the last year of his contract?
  8. Spot on from G Richards. A sensible reasoned post instead of some of the hysterical nonsense fron queens livid that we haven't signed Messi yet.
  9. I'd take fuck all notice of reports in the press that speculate or price . Paying 10m would be stupid and goes against everything our owners supposedly value and prioritise in their transfer policy so I've got some faith that we wouldn't go anywhere near that kind of fee. I also don't think Dempsey would be seen as a key signing. With the departure of Maxi and Dirk, and the possible departures of Carroll, Bellamy and possibly Aquilani, the squad needs reinforcing to the tune of at least 4 or 5 new players. We will be playing in 4 competitions this season. I still think we Have plenty of business yet to do this window. It's still early days.
  10. Spot on as usual mate. The resentment to what could be a very useful Benayoun-esque addition to our squad baffles me. As you said, for the right price it's a no brainer for me.
  11. I don't find that anything helps. The thought of food the next morning makes me sick after a heavy session. Even if I do try something I'll end up throwing it up within half an hour. I've always suffered since I was a kid. I'm 24 now and I'm as rough as ever after a night on the ale. It doesn't help that I tend to mix my bevys pretty much every time I'm out. I always get bloated after 7 or 8 pints so its on to the spirits then. Generally speaking I think it just takes time and sleep for me. Sometimes having a shit load of water before bed has helped but others it hasn't even touched it. Worryingly in now starting to feel quite ropey 2 days after the ale session. I'd say the only place I've never struggled with hangovers is my trips away in Eastern Europe. I'd drink lager all day through until 5/6am, then be ready to be back on it by midday. Tiredness was the only problem. Says a lot about the quality of the ale on tap over here.
  12. You can see what's gonna happen here. Play hardball now, demand 20million, end up flogging him for 8million on deadline day or the dreaded 12month loan deal. See it a mile off.
  13. @sidlowe: Santigo Segurola does not have Twitter /// Santiago Segurola no tiene twitter
  14. Says he is a journalist for Marca and has 14k followers.
  15. Went last month. Deffo recommend it, lovely city. Went with the bird so didn't do the whole clubbing scene but I imagine it would be boss as the city had everything. Did the full Nou Camp tour, about 20euro but deffo recommend it. Was absolutely superb. Get it booked mate!
  16. Stay. But if he does go, he goes. None of this 12month loan bollocks. Sick to death of us paying our players to play for someone else. It's all well and good sending young lads out but we constantly get shafted on these loan deals. We end up with a highly unsettled player who's value has depreciated even further 12months down the line. For me the lad deserves the chance to show he can be a valued part of the squad. If no one is going to come in and offer silly money for him then he should stay here.
  17. Dempsey is a massive cunt, no questions. However that doesn't take away from the fact that he scored more goals last season than probably our whole midfield combined and for the right price could be a very handy player to have in the squad. If people take away his cuntishness I think that it's a no brainer if, like I said, we don't get fleeced on the price.
  18. Why are people flapping about because we haven't signed any superstars yet? How do we know who the fuck we are targeting? The window has been open for less than 2 weeks for Christ sake. Let's just wait and see what happens in the next month and a half before pissing our knickers. Borini is just one piece of the jigsaw. Dempsey with a year left on his contract would be a handy addition for the right price and the way we are seemingly being run these days I cannot see us getting fleeced on the deal, especially given our reluctance to overpay for a target in Sigurdson. By and large we don't know who the club are targeting and that's the way it should be.
  19. We certainly shouldn't get fleeced in the process and I certainly wouldn't be happy with the deal Fulham are supposedly proposing. With his age and his contract situation we need to be realistic and pay his value, no more than 6m.
  20. Dempsey scored 17 in 37 for Fulham last season. A big part of our failings have been a lack of goals, particularly from midfield. He clearly knows where the goal is. For the right price he could be a fantastic piece of business, whether we think he is a cunt or not which I reckon is the reason most people are put off him. He shouldn't be seen as the solution to all our woes, but he could be very useful to have in the squad.
  21. This. For the right fee, 4-6m, I'd have no problems with bringing him in to the squad. Good quality option.
  22. Know fuck all about the lad, therefor I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do and hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised. I'd much rather take a chance on a kid like this than paying double for some British no mark like Darren Bent who we'd probably have went for in the past couple of seasons. I'll trust the managers judgement, and havin worked with him twice before he will know him more than most and know if the lad is cut out for it.
  23. Nobody can pass comment publicly as it is an active criminal trial so anyone doing so would risk being in contempt of court and having themselves hauled before a judge. I'm not necessarily saying they will comment after, just that at this point their is a valid reason why there is a lack of public comment beyond the factual reportings of the case.
  24. Absolutely scandalous, yet not in the least bit surprising with this cunt of a government.
  25. I think he will receive a fine and be found guilty, followed by an 8 game ban from the FA. Surely thats the minimum they can give him after the Suarez precedent they set last season...
