I agree to an extent. But wasn't there some talk that Benitez was unhappy with Heighway, and hence his responsibilities have been curtailed. I think Jose Jones is right, Houllier has left a legacy of good and bad. What I object to is those unwilling to see anything but the negatives. Using Ian St John quotes for example. From the moment his mate Evans was usurped, Houllier was never referred to as anything but "The Frenchman". Hardly a basis for informed debate, is it? Now we're in that territory, it bugs me when commentators state that player a, who scored one goal, would have had a hattrick had he buried the two later chances he had. This ignores the fact that had he put the first of those chances away, the rest of the game would have been entirely different and that other chance wouldn't have arisen. Annoying? Yes. Pedantic? The one that used to bug me, though slightly off topic, was that every Sheringham touch was described as 'intelligent'. I won my first game, and thought I ruled. I have since lost 3 of my last four and realised that I suck the big one. I have also noticed that I seem to be the only team not to have a player with a skill level of 7. Is this pure bad luck on my part, or are my 'alternative' training techniques - cold showers, cutting up players' Armani suits in regular 'bonding' japes, etc - to blame?
