  1. It's fucked up, independence was the worst thing that ever happened to that gaff. Could have been like Canada on steds, but oh no, they wanted cotton and teabags or whatever the fuck darn'tootin. We should take it back, breed legions of Sean Beans in big pharma hatcheries and do a mass airdrop in the rust belt. Fucking muskets under each arm, say hello to my little friend! Ya bastard.
  2. He'll swing back at some point and pretend he's a big lefty. Tit.
  3. peacocking isn't it? 'I'm hard stay away from me!'. I knew some standup lad that used to gig in Hereford and the SAS were always in the pub, and he said to a man they looked like either Phil Collins or Bill Oddie.
  4. A famed music teacher and organist at Eton College has been banned from teaching for life after he used his work laptop to look for inappropriate pornographic material, including using the search term “gay little boys”. David Goode, 52, who has performed at the Proms and released Bach’s complete organ works, was suspended in December 2021, three days after Eton’s IT system flagged inappropriate searches. The Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA), conducting a subsequent investigation, found Mr Goode had conducted 229 searches, including for terms such as “cute thai littel [sic] boys”, “Algerian gay boys” and “gay little boys”.
  5. You can see why people fall for populism, it gets to the point where you wonder what the point is of living in a society at all when all it does is degrade around you. It was probably the late noughties the last time I felt like the country had any cash or was actually building anything, now all we do is tear things up and sell them off. Councils literally collapsing, hospital trusts unable to guarantee patient safety, prisons overcrowded, aircraft carriers with no jets. At the age of 30 I was told this would be 'short term pain' but I'll probably be well into my 50s and still it'll be the same old shit. I'll have lived almost half my life in a collapsing country.
  6. You know instinctively the top one would go down like a sack of shite.
  7. The way the creative industry has become obsessed with gender rather than ability. There's been a couple or authors talk about it and they've been shot down, but I think it's become a legitimate issue. The likes of Disney (and now lord of the rings) like to talk about their percentage of female directors, showrunners, leads etc rather than their ability, and the products have become shite. Rather than becoming about equlity, it's become about serving up revenge againts people who had nothing to do with creating any previous gender imbalance, nor did they benefit from it. "I'm a bloke and have next to no chance of getting my script etc read." "Yeah but you've had it your way for years!" "What, I personally?" https://www.cnn.com/style/article/joyce-carol-oates-white-men-publishing-cec/index.html
  8. It's always the ones you least suspect when it comes to having legitimate concerns.
  9. I really do think social media and the wider Internet is mainly to blame. We've been spiritually dismantled and glued back together.
  10. I've never known a time when people had such Airfix kit opinions. It should be possible to have, say, a left wing view of economics but a right wing view of criminality. But with this lot, if you know their view on Brexit you'll know their view on Trump, and if you know their view on Trump you'll know their view on Islam, and if you know their view on Islam you'll know their view on Covid vaccines and Ukraine.
  11. I keep getting this Mike Lynch fella mixed up with the rail union guy.
  12. Thought it was a good point about us being the opposite of Chelsea.
  13. the interesting - if you can call it that - aspect of our politics at the moment is that the only real opposition is coming from the left of Labour. Most of the alternative debates are around winter fuel payments/two child cap and no more austerity. The 'right' and 'mainstream' of British politics now seems to consist of moaning about Angela Rayner dancing in Ibiza, David Tennant etc. Surely this is conclusive proof that what passes for the right now is completely spent, with the exception of raging about bollocks?
  14. Footage of me last week visiting Letby in Wentworth while Foxy Knoxy waited in the car.
  15. Steers well clear of me now. Cocksucker had reputation as the toughest virus in Wuhan. But it never came back after I got true with it.
  16. Thing that makes me wary about this is it seems to be the 15 minute city/anti-vax crowd that are largely interested in it. Maybe she discovered something about big pharma and the legacy media and needed to be silenced.
