  1. Thought carra was incredible again but for pure work ethic Dirk was amazing. The number of times he came back to pick up the ball and take the pressure off the rest of the team was fantastic. Enjoyed that match soooo much! Was worth getting up at 4.30am to watch.
  2. I am an exiled scouser living in California too. I have seen this show a couple of times and both of them including the 'reds' fan are complete wankers whose total knowledge of football you could put on the back of a stamp. To be honest I had them both down as a couple of buffoons, typical of the new Sky Sports type fans we all know back in the UK, ie only started watching about 10 years ago. It seems this fella is worse than that, those comments are plain vindictive. I didnt see this show but what he said is a f***** disgrace he should never be allowed on TV again. I am going to write and complain and I would urge everyone else to do so especially USA and Canada based reds. Enough of us were there that day, including me, so it is up to us to make sure that the actual events of that day are not forgotten and that people understand what really happened.
  3. Any former Liverpool teammates you detested and just want to boot every time you played them in training. I am thinking maybe Diouf or Collymore?
  4. Agreed Andy. Am totally gutted but we have come a hell of a long way in the last 18 months and as long as we can keep Rafa I think there are more good times to come. It was a great run while it lasted especially some of the home CL games last year and then Istanbul obviously. And until someone else lifts the new European Cup in May we are STILL the champions of Europe.
  5. Got to be Barcelona. Would like to say Arsenal but still can't bring myself to support them after that last minute goal in 89!
  6. Will be listening on line in my office in America, getting f*** all work done! Kept waking up last night thinking about the game! For anyone on here going the match, give the lads a good shout for all us 'exiles' around the world who can't be there. In the meantime I'll be runnin wild in my office here!
  7. Get in there Ronnie! Bye bye chavs!
  8. I dont know about the rest of you but if that date is firmly set then there is no way I am going. I would imagine that many of us on this forum, including myself were at Hillsborough and that day above all days is a time for genuine reflection NOT for a football match in my opinion. If there is no other day the game can be played then perhaps the club shouldnt take up their allocation or we as fans should take a decision not to go.
  9. This guy is my all time hero. However if this turns out to be true I wouldnt want him having any more to do with the club in any capacity including writing for the echo. I wonder if the echo can shed any light on it? I emailed them last week to find out what was going on but got no reply. I sincerely hope this is not true. He is supposed to be one of us.
  10. I understand the reasoning behind taking both Crouch and Gerrard off i.e. tiredness/giving them a rest but these two are the focal points of the team. Without them the ball comes back too quickly when we move it forward and we lose some drive from the middle. Bit gutted especially given the other results but at least we gain a point on the Mancs.
  11. Agree with Paul. Seem to remember singing "Rushy is back Rushy is back" when Ian returned. I think the same is warranted for Robbie. I am living in the U.S. now but I would give anything to be at Anfield on Wednesday to welcome Robbie back. I'm sure the reception will be amazing but please give him a shout for me. I will be there in spirit and thought. Hope this reads ok. Have been on the piss all day in Los Angeles celebrating God's return trying to explain to my Canadian mate what this guy means to our club. Am so happy, can barely keep the smile off my face. What a feeling....... Just amazing.

I'd be disappointed if he did leave. As with Raven I think the two of them should have been given more of a chance. Mellor, despite a lack of mobility is the most natural goalscorer at the club. Whatever happens though his goals against Olympiakos and Arsenal will always bring back great memories.
  13. Watchin in Los Angeles. Its 2am here. Been out on the ale for a while. Hammered. Ready to watch us become world champs. Come on you mighty reds!
  14. On the subject of the birds. Was trying to explain to mine last night about the sweeping phenomenom that is Crouchmania!! She just couldnt understand. Even tried to explain the Whatchyagonnado reference although that just bemused her further. I give up! Only the chosen few will ever truly be Crouchmaniacs! Cant wait to see how many TLW Crouch t shirts there are around Anfield on boxing day!
  15. More than anything I just feel sorry for the fella being so far from his family at this time. I know if if was me and I'd lost my Dad I wouldnt be able to be so far away and not attend his funeral. I wonder if many of us on here could do what Rafa has done? God bless to both Rafa and his father.
