  1. What the fuck is it with smalltime clubs starved of success, and delusion?
  2. When going into the butcher's, yesterday, I was unprepared for the shock that lay ahead. One of the lads in there, also a fan, just said "sad news", which gave me no clue as to what he meant. As he told me, I just had mental pictures of the people in the famed footage showing the reaction when told of Shankly's departure. The open mouthed disbelief and numbness. The look that says "Please tell me it's not true". Devastation. The comfort of 'knowing' that our beloved Jurgen would be with us for at least another couple of seasons, and maybe beyond, was a shattered dream. Looking at a display cabinet full of meat was kind of apt, because it felt like Johnny had butchered me - sliced me down the middle and ripped out my heart. Having seen and heard the explanation from the man himself, I can only say that I could feel the emotion pouring out, and how difficult it must have been to come to that decision and then have to come out and tell everybody. It felt like he was close to tears at some points. I certainly was. As we all know, how much in love with the club, the fans, the city and everything else, to be convinced that it had to end, for the good of his own health and wellbeing, must be taken in all sincerity and respected. We know that he thinks things over so deeply, and that it would certainly not have been a lightly made decision. He has earned that trust and respect in his every word and move. On a lighter, but maybe relevant note... This is the lineup for his first match. The only ever-present there during these wonderful past years is the one and only Milner. Can it be a coincidence, that given the timing of his thoughts - shortly after the start of this season, planning for next season - he came to the growing realisation: What is life, the Universe and everything, without Millie? I can't go on!! It was actually quite disappointing when we played Brighton, that Milner was not involved. I had hoped to see them following the match, Klopp giving him one of his legendary hugs and secretly whispering in his ear, tapping him up. We love you, Jurgen, and can only hope that this announcement gives you, the players and all fans, the drive, impetus and passion to go and finish what you've started this season, to win everything in sight, and give you the most appropriate and rewarding finale and send off you absolutely deserve. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
  3. Hahahaha. You can take the man out of Everton.. The commentator has just said that Silva looks quite intense, but has a lighter side on the training ground... he loves a friendly headlock!
  4. They've already applied caveats and exceptions to the title we won in 2020, how Gauling it would be to have an Asterix on another.
  5. Newcastle fan: "We are a giant European club now" That's Everton levels of delusion. Just like the Bloos, the vast majority of European clubs or their fans, have no idea who Newcastle are.
  6. Given how their owner and the board, so wise and revered, have run their club in recent years, stability is one word that cannot be associated with Everton.
  7. A home draw against lower league opposition is a draw that so seldom happens for us. The privilege that City get practically every round, every year.
  8. Magnificent win, especially having come from 7-0 behind at half time. Top of the league at Christmas went West very fucking quick, and now this. Hahaha! AFTV have just given airtime yet another Yank, maybe the 4th in about 6 fans I've seen up to now, and he's just said that 'at the end of the day, Pep is the greatest manager of all time, up there with Ferguson and Wenger!' The know-nothing cocksucking assholes.
  9. If Chelsea were to sell a young athletic player, ostensibly for FFP reasons, and sign a 33yo whose legs have gone and would demand big wages, then that would really represent a damning vision of their transfer policy. With respect, Nelly, 'getting a couple of decent seasons' out of Henderson is an absolute pipe dream. He was no longer ready and suitable for a full season with Liverpool, and with increasing age and injuries, being an option up to the age of 35 at Chelsea is just way beyond his capabilities. Having the experience is one thing, but with a long record of a failing body and increasing lay-offs, that experience is worthless when they're sitting on any club's treatment table. His reputation was fucked going to the Middle East in the first place, but this would really only show how far he's fallen, and cap a real clusterfuck of career decisions for someone who was so teflon shiny for so long. Fuck him, and them. I'd laugh at both if it happens.
  10. Another ref to add to their ever growing list. I bet Chris Kavanagh never thought he'd live to be mentioned in the same breath as Pieruigi Collina and Clive Thomas, but these are extraordinary times
  11. Hey, Eddie, how about you take your misgivings and injustices out on City at home in the next game? Plenty of fuel to fire your lads up in front of a home crowd. Yeah, some managers just get sacked...
  12. Without Dubravka, they would have been beaten 10-2 Happy New Year!
  13. Villa Spursing a home game and they could even be behind following a disallowed by VAR for Burnley. Get back in yer Brummie boxes, you deluded gobshites.
  14. "We'll win a trophy again in the next few years"... it can only mean they must be heading to Florida again.

  16. Hahaha! That game where Walters excelled himself. If Laurel and Hardy played football... Chances are, he didn't buy a lottery ticket that night.
