1. Hasn't Darby played at leftback at times for the ressies? I seem to recall reading reports about it...
2. Was having a discussion about this on another forum. I think it's basically just some shitty reporting. Going through the FIFA 2008 regulations on player status and transfers (specifically Articles 20 and 21), I think the 400K refers to the compensation the Gunners are entitled to, if Walcott leaves at the end of his contract (in any case, the club would get nothing anyway in a "normal" situation of a player running his contract out, so 400K is a bonus, haha). It doesn't mean Walcott can be transferred for as little as 400K like the article title seems to imply.
3. You can try do a screen cap off the youtube clip. Quality isn't too good though.
4. This work? Hehehehe... It's a tiny screencap from the following video, though I didn't do it myself. :D
5. Sorry, is that confirming the part I raised about the extension of Martin's loan at Leicester, or are you saying Hammill's loan to Blackpool has also been extended till season's end?
6. Hope his (belated) birthday gift is a loan out to Portsmouth (when they lose Crouch and Defoe).
7. Any news on what the plans are for him now that he's returned from Blackpool? Also - has David Martin's loan at Leicester been extended till the end of the season? It's almost a footnote here at the Foxes' offal (nothing reported at the LFC offal though): David Martin | Leicester City | Team | Player Profiles David Martin
8. Yeah, I hate Brown with a passion. He's got a "come punch me" face that really gets on my tits. And... take the skills out of Rooney, and we actually have a fatter Brown. :D
9. Craig Fagan, Michael Brown, pick your poison.
10. Alemão Branco, Andreas Brehme, Zbigniew Boniek Careca Rinat Dasayev Pat Jennings Attilio Lombardo Darko Pančev Tony Yeboah Walter Zenga
11. 2 top-class coloured keepers (at least from what I've seen in past World Cups): 1. Thomas NKono (Cameroon): Thomas Nkono - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 2. Joseph-Antoine Bell (Cameroon): Joseph-Antoine Bell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Interesting tidbit there in the first link where it says Buffon named his son Thomas in honour of Thomas NKono.
12. beni's goal:
13. Not even a patch on this: YouTube - TORRES SONG - THE KOP - LIVERPOOL v NEWCASTLE
14. Maybe she's why Thaksin wants SGE out.
15. Assuming we can include bad decisions like "non-calls" (well, the ref's call is "no foul!"), then: World Cup 1982 - Toni Schumacher nails Battiston, and there's not a single preet from the ref. Here's the youtube clip: That was as bad as it gets.
16. He's not a defender. He's "The Degender ". Gotta sign him just for the fun we'll have with his name. Our backline will soon dish a Skrtelling and a Degending. Mighty boss.
17. 1. Because that had "right foot clearance" written all over it. 2. I'd say probably Aurelio + Drogba injuries. I should put the latter's injuries in quotes, 'cos he was never hurt the wee-est bit.
18. Papa Mama Diop Steed Malbranque (might've been good enough once, when at Fulham) Liam Rosenior (good young prospect when at Fulham) Nobby Solano (would've been good enough for us years ago) Boateng
19. Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but anyway: Of the 6 defeats to the Mancs (yielding 8 goals) since the 04/05 season, 4 of them (5 goals) have been due to our inability to defend setpieces. If we can't find a way to beat the Mancs, we can certainly work on how not to lose - by defending those setpieces better. The discomforting thought for me is that we haven't exactly been stellar in that department of late. I'm sure the same observations aren't lost on either Rafa or Slur.
