  1. Oh and the Sky commentators were a disgrace!
  2. Exactly my view on tonights game, quite pleased with the game, was most impressed by Ngog, shocked by Degen and pleased to see Aquilani. Had Babel and Voronin played better we would have won. I would have had Ecclestone on from 60 odd minutes for Voronin, I also would not have brought Benayoun on, in fact would have had Amoo on the bench instead, but in the absence of Amoo I would have had Darby on. All told I enjoyed tonights game, we were a ref decision (the off side/hand ball) away from equalising and we were the fitter side, I feel better about our second string than I have in a while.
  3. Both of them were my only real disappointments from tonight, had they played better we would have won. They should be shown a video of this game though and told this is why you do not play more. I was impressed by Ngog tonight.
  4. Through to the second round but have just drawn one of the biggest teams in the game and a multiple OD league winner, suspect that I am out next round (especially as I am going to play my reserves), all being well though i am going to get a big pay day as I am playing at there place.
  5. For the last ODI I think they should pick a team of up and coming players and Strauss as they cannot do worse that lose by 111 and they will get some good experience in a game where they are effectively under no pressure.
  6. Promoted in 20/20 and first class, if I win my last 1 dayer I may also be promoted there, need to work on strengthening the team for the new season.
  7. The first, really like some of his lyrics.
  8. Apologies, scratch last message, you have to be a member.
  9. From what I can see I do not think so, I seem to be able to click on teams and have an option to add them to an alliance.
  10. Have paid for membership, can set up an alliance for tlw, anyone interested?
  11. After watching it I am not sure whether Gerrard hit him or not, what I do want to know is what the DJ said to him as he looked to me to get right into Stevie's face.
  12. I am also in, Whalley Reserves, won my first and after day 1 of my second game I declared on 505/6 and the opposition are currently 0/1 after 3 overs, I have instructed the team to enforce the follow on!
  13. Count me in, am getting a little bored of x11.
  14. I am certain that I have heard Fergie say that before shortly before they signed someone so I would take it with a pinch of salt, but I do not think that they ever had any intention of spending the whole £80m, I am just surprised that they are not looking to spend some of the rest of it!
  15. Congrats! I have about 5 months to go and I simply cannot wait!
  16. Red spade for me as well and I think the red is as much to do with the colour of this site than anything else.
  17. Fergie is being quiet as he does not want to be asked about all of his bluster about not selling Madrid a virus etc... I do not see his silence as him being confident, I actually see it as a sign of worry on his part, if Ginsoak has something to gloat about he does.
  18. Check out this: How not to draw comics... It is the website of a guy I know who is an up and coming illustrator/author of graphic novels and some of his art looks superb.
  19. That has got to be a wind-up, I almost feel sorry for the Geordies now!
  20. If Masch is on his way I agree that we need to play tough and if possible get a bit of a bidding war going on. £40 million would seem right, ideally I would just want the cash, or cash and Eto at a push. I have seen Bojan a few times and he has either looked amazing or been shit, I have watched him in the u21 championships and he has looked nothing special at all and would not want to have him for the value that he would represent in that transfer. A transfer of £30m, Eto and a years loan for Bojan (I heard rumours that Celtic were looking him on loan) may be a good answer though I would prefer Masch to stay. If Masch goes Alonso must not be allowed to leave, as completely replacing the centre of midfield may result in a slow start to the season.
  21. I feel so sorry for him. I would still have him back and I think in these circumstances we would get him on our terms and would have a player keen to show that he is not past it. I know that he has brought this all on himself but I just remember the good times and hate to see where he is now.
  22. There is a great book called "The Irony of Democracy" and its conclusion is that te US and UK system is not democratic but it works. I think it is significantly out of date as I think the UK is creeping towards proper democracy where the public gets a real say, and in the case of Blears that pleases me as I enjoy seeing her squirm and will be glad when she loses office, but the thing that worries me is that the will of the public may well be simplay the will of the papers and I would hate to see the right to far right shite of the Mail, Express etc... viewed as "public opinion".
  23. I provide some tax advice to Chester Zoo and it is a great place, with some top people working there, they are, as mentioned earlier in this thread, planning a big expansion, called Natural Vision, and if they do everything that is planned it will be absolutely amazing and impossible to see in one day. Have had such a quality time working with them, but there was a nice moment last week as I was heading toward the admin building for a meeting and the lions all started to roar, a quality and slightly scary sound!
  24. She looks amazing, the show was shit and an hour of my life that I am not getting back.
