  1. The times I've seen this lad play (admittedly only about half a dozen) he's been brilliant. A bit like Xabi only 20 yards further up the pitch (picks the right pass, etc). If all of the young Spanish midfielders mature quickly then they'll be a good bet for the next Euro Champs (still unsure about Torres though).
  2. Was having a knock about with my mate and his sons a short while back, and I (very gently) tackled his youngest (he's 7). He went down clutching his knee and groaning, and I shat myself cos I thought I'd really hurt him. When I got over to him to see how he was he sprung up and carried on playing. Felt a right twat. Made sure the little bastard got it in the next tackle though!
  3. Nah, I took the time to take a survey prior to trying to lift a copy off this thread. ;)
  4. That's brill. Cheers for that! Been looking for this for ages to pass round the office.
  5. I did try that and it opens up in MS Picture Manager (again as the single still). I'll give it another go at saving. Thanks for your help.
  6. Riise has the uncanny knack of picking the wrong pass virtually every single time. The ones that do make it are probably meant for someone else.
  7. Apologies for being such a div - but how the fluff do I save this sequence (when I right click and save it only saves one of the stills)? Ta very much.
  8. Ladies and Gents - I give you John Arne Riise...
  9. Physio: Hang on lads. It's up here somewhere... Owen: Oh ffs......
  10. The one in the middle for me, and going by the look of her right hand she may not take too much coaxing to offer up some 'relief' (unless she's calling me a wanker, in which case she's a dog!).
  11. The footie reporter bloke on Five Live this morning was wanting Lampard to start performing like he does for Chelsea. Does he not realise that he already is (minus the said deflections)? I've realised I have an unhealthy dislike of the fat pudding, but while the media/pundits continue to treat him like a footballing God then I think the feeling will remain strong for sometime.
  12. I've only seen the incident a couple of times, but it looked to me like Crouch just grabbed anything he could just to gain some advantage (I'm not even sure he looked at the other player throughout the incident), so he could have easily ended up with a handful of shirt as opposed to hair. Also I don't think the defender made anything of it after the goal so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about?
  13. I'm absolutely baffled at how highly rated Lampard is. He's the poor man's Scholes.
  14. Germanys cunning plan to use coloured fly-paper as a pitch surface was an almost total success.
  15. Bet he can't juggle a tube of Pringles like Gerrard!
  16. Yep, that's the fellow. While I don't spend half as much time reading this forum than I should, he's the only one I can think of whose posts have the same random madness to them. Very clever, and very funny!
  17. Looks like I remain banana-less as well then. Reading his posts I was convinced it was him. Hope I'm on the right wavelength by the way, and not just making a twot of myself! :$
  18. If you leave it a short while before clicking on the 'Take the Test' link, it runs the clip anyway (or it did for me). Unless that's just a clip of the clip?? Suppose I'll have to take the bloody test now to find out!
  19. I only started watching in the second half so didn't know who our panel of 'experts' were until the end of the game. I was hoping to Christ that Ian Wright was on it so he could explain away his boy throwing himself to the floor like a poor imitation of Drogba. Shame really, 'cos I'm sure Gary would have liked to fire some incisive questions at him about the incident. Or maybe not.... Hansen didn't exactly paint himself in glory when he came out with the corking 'it wasn't a vintage Chelsea performance' comment. My first thought was that it actually was a vintage Chelsea performance in that they were pretty ordinary, but I then realised he meant the post-Abramovich Chelsea 'vintage'. Now I'm no connoisseur (probably not even a good speller based on that effort), but if I was offered a 2 year-old 'vintage' bottle of wine in a restaurant, I'd tell the waiter to jolly well think again! I think last nights performance & punditry confirmed to myself why I try to avoid watching all things Chelsea.
  20. Let's all be hypothetical for a moment. I am a decent'ish forward, and, after a winning a chocolate bar competition, get a chance to be 'taught' by Ian Rush and Terry Henry in the finer arts of putting the ball in the onion bag. You don't think that with my 'medium' amount of skill, dedication, and willingness to learn, that I could be taught to have enough composure, awareness, and ability to hit the target (as opposed to the keeper) to score many more goals than I could before?
  21. Sooty - can't open the file (WTF is a RAR??). Lived on Canny Farm for ages so I'd be interested to know how it's different to the original. Cheers
  22. I've been downloading shit loads of stuff since the final win, and came across this on RAWK. The thread contains a montage of Garcia, and apart from it being just a great watch, it shows he has 2 great feet. Plus, he just doesn't stop smiling! http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php/topic,70625.0.html
