  1. who would you sign Code because as it stands the team is way short of the requirement needed to make any challenge next season. A new DM & CB should be an absolute must.
  2. Defences win trophies and ours collectively isn't good enough. There is the problem
  3. badly worded in anger. I think they have the right to shit in the mouth of every tory mp before punching the face of Thérèse Coffey until it caves in the fat cigar smoking bitch
  4. Rubbish The Glazers are bad owners but United will never go under. United spend a lot of money but if it weren't for the Glazers they could spend even more. The Glazers are bad owners with bad PR. FSG are bad owners with good PR. Most of the good PR comes from stablising the club after H&G but they got an incredble deal and bought the club at a fraction of the price. They've constantly made bad decisions at boadroom level but have lucked out with Jurgen and the revenue gotten from Suarez & Coutinho. Their actual investment is minimal and has been geared towards the value of their asset. They don't care if we are successful or not they just want their asset value to increase and increase. They bought us for what £200m ?? The club is now valued at well over £2bn, how much money have they personally invested There has to be some alternative to either Americal hedgefund capitalists and sportswashing state investment. Virtually with every week I become less and less arsed about football. I think it'll eats itself within a few years - the greed will be all consuming and it'll hopefully all implode.
  5. Who the actual fuck is running the club and making the big/key decisions because they simply aren't doing their job. We are a week away from the start of a new season and the two glaring issues of the previous season have still yet to be addressed. Without the addition of a top quality midfielder and centre back we will be writing off another season and scrapping for top 4 if we are lucky.
  6. She's incredibly wierd. She's in quite a few ads at the moment and she freaks me out. Was a quality finish for her goal though. Is it all a bit shit though isn't it. Tried to watch some of it but very easy to get distracted.
  7. What is it with mega rich football clubs putting in low ball bids for players? The buying clubs will know the asking price so unless there's any major situation change why would any selling club accept 20% lower than what they were asking. Its not just us, the whole Bayern/Spurs/Kane saga is tiresome. West Ham/Arsenal/Rice was a fucking joke as well, Chelsea & Caicedo likewise. I'd actually like to see a rule introduced that you can only make one or two official bids for a player within a 3 month period. There's far too much fannying around. If we really want Lavia then pay the £50m asking price that everyone has known all summer. Maybe the only negotation should be the terms of the £50m such payment installments & bonus structure.
  8. Skilled worker gets huge pay day for his last contract. Good luck to him. If I had the chance to leave this fucking shithole of a country I'd take it. I get the criticism but the outrage is pathetic. Its a good deal for the club as well IMO as he is clearly on the wane having only recently signed a long contract. We'll miss his leadership, from all the messages from players he was clearly a well loved person within the dressing room but after last seasons shitshow the team needed a big reset and this is just part of it.
  9. The Aussie openers looked ominously comfortable. Not a lot doing in the pitch and I can't see Moen's spin ripping through them. The perfect scenario tomorrow is that Jimmy & Broad get 5 wickets a piece and then Jimmy also announces his retirement and they both go out with a bang. Not a chance of it happening of course.
  10. not just head injuries... any injuries. I wish I could think of a better term but modern footballers are soft as shit and fucking cry babies. I'd have a 10 game ban for anyone feiging injury
  11. TBH i think some of the recent comments are a fucking disgrace. Whether you rate him as a player or not the fucking FACT he has been captain of our club while we won the CL & PL says to me he has made a fucking important contribution to the football club. I'm not thrilled about this proposed move, ideally he'd finish his careers at his boyhood club but this is real life and not a fucking Disney cartoon.
  12. Hopefully the rain won't be too bad. The Open needs wind, every open course is a different animal with a nice stiff breeze.
  13. you get rid of the unreliable. What is the fucking point of them if they are only fit for less than half the games. A squad can cope with one or two players provided they are of significant quality to make a difference when they are fit & available but we have far too many.
  14. How many were actually fit and available? The only reliable midfielder we've had in last few years was Gini and we let him leave for nowt. Every other has had their injury issues
  15. Should Fabinho (& Henderson) leave he'll need replacing with a top class player, its not the time/situation to be blooding a promosing youngster in that position unless we are writing off another season like we did last year.
  16. I could be wrong but I think tomorrows final will show how utterly laughable it is than the men & women get equal pay. Game of the tournament so far imo was Djokovic v Rublev
  17. He does seem to be a spoilt brat obsessed with money. Unless it is specifically written into his contract is PSG were to accept an offer for him then then don't owe him any additional pay should he leave. He can of course turn down any offer and see out his contract. I wonder if the same will happen here as maybe with Kane also. An additional 1 year contract agreed with a set buy out fee agreed for next summer but at a much lower price. That way the player stays for 'one last chance of glory' the club gets some compensation but the fee is low enough that the player still gets a hefty wage as he would had he been on a free.
  18. Compltely changed the outlook of the test. Shouldn't have been allowed to do it though. Joe Root starts his innings on -88 and counting.
  19. Both are pretty unforgiveable and already looking extremely costly as this partnerhip is very quickly taken the game and ashes away from England. Its fair to say picking Bairstow as the WK has really cost England, its all ifs and buts but at the top level of all sports its the fine margins that matter most and the dropped catches and missed stumping in the series so far have been a gift to a very good Aus team.
  20. Labuschagne gone. Very good morning so far for England. Would have been excellent had Bairstow taken that catch (was a tough one tbf but you need to making them in such big games)
