I think I should limit my selection to players I've seen live. That excludes great names like McDermott, Rushie, Souness, Molby, Hansen, Barnes etc.
It's an easy option for me to go for Robbie. He gave us all so many great times, and he was so vital in our claim to get back were we belong. However he's runner up for me....
I've been more active as a fan (i.e. travelling, going to matches) for the last 6-7 years, and in that period Stevie (not anymore...), Mickey and Jamie have been my favourites. Although the two first may be looked upon as more important or spectacular, JC is the one who in my opinion has stood out - from the first game he played. He's the most commited and honest player I've ever seen. Although he's been used in some of his lesser natural positions he's never let us down, and always given his all. Every new competitor og "replacement" we've brought in has been met with an extra level of commitment and also improvement. He became an even better player last year (after the injury), and now he's grown into his natural position and natural level. He's the king of the kop now, and a living legend.
