I remember when Joe Biden was 3/1 to win on election night.
The lesson I took from that day was: if the odds look really good, stick more than a tenner on.
It was utter madness. We clearly believed we would get a late winner, as we so often do.
It's good to have self-belief, but in that instance, it teetered over into delusion.
I'm not even talking about winning it, it was rare we made the latter stages of the competition. Prior to this season, we only made it past the 5th round once - when we won it.
