Welcome to the new and improved TLW!

Some of you may experience issues logging in and will get an 'incorrect password' error. Don't worry, you haven't typed it in wrong and your password hasn't been changed. You will need to reset it though in order to log in. Click the reset password link and you will receive an email with your new temporary password. Once logged in, you need to choose a new password (or restore to your old one) otherwise you will be locked out again.

If you have an out of date email address linked to your account, then you won't receive the new password. If that's the case then you'll need to email me (dave @liverpoolway.co.uk) or send me a tweet @theliverpoolway and I'll update your password manually.

Any other problems or questions just let me know.

Thanks

Dave

Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

The two aren't mutually exclusive. I use facts to arrive at the most probable outcome. If the facts were to change, then that necessitates a reassessment. I can assure you I would be much happier if I was able to say that Labour would offer us a second referendum with a meaningful choice on the ballot paper. I must say, it's really not looking likely at the moment.

Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

I don't claim anything is certain. As always, I deal in probabilities. The day after the vote, Corbyn was calling for Article 50 to be triggered immediately. Labour ran on a manifesto of exiting the EU and the single market. I think if anyone is "concocting" anything it's those people clinging to the fantasy that the Labour leadership is ready to give them another shot at remaining in the EU. And if (and it's a big if) Labour does end up supporting another in/out referendum, it'll very much be against the desires of Corbyn and his cadre.

Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

Corbyn doesn't particularly want a second referendum. McDonnell is saying if there is one, it will be on the terms of Brexit, and not in/out. We can wait and see, but I think it's very clear which way the wind is blowing.

Should Corbyn remain as Labour leader?

Despite all the polls showing the opposite. Anyway, now that Labour is going to give us a second referendum, but the options are going to be Leave and Leave, perhaps maybe now people can stop deluding themselves about Corbyn and Co's stance on Brexit?

What do you call a bread roll round your way?

Baps are soft. Crusty cobs are not baps. If baps were hard, the the term "floury bap" wouldn't make any sense, because you never see a floury cob (flour wouldn't stick to the hard, usually glazed, surface).

    *Shakes head* Everton again.

For those who like their firsts, this must (without actually checking) be the first time we've been 12 points ahead of them after 6 matches.

    4-4-2 - The Underrated Formation

Inspired by this thread I saw a BOGOF offer on jaffa cakes and bought four boxes.

There's a fine line for politicians between fulfilling the expectations of paying respects and looking like you're using a disaster to drum up support. I think it's always fair to give a bit of leeway (and it applies to everyone, eg May over Grenfell).

Damp squib second half, nice to keep a clean sheet although anyone with Van Dijk or Gomez in their fantasy footy teams was fucked anyway.

Bit of an odd sub if Shaqiri isn't injured.
